Walking A Mile In My Shoes
It's incredibly sad to me that my camera did not pick up on the true bold hue of these shoes. Gorgeous, bright, stunning - me and my feet are instantaneously happier when I'm wearing my Betsey Johnson Kazans. I searched and searched and unfortunately the Kazan is this particular color seem to be sold out everywhere. I did find this pair below, however. Not a bad substitute if I do say so myself...

Birthday? Moi?
Continuing the quest for all things birthday I decided to take a gander around shopbop.com yesterday. I often forget about this website and I'm not sure why. To me, shopbop.com is like a cooler, hipper older sister that always seems to have those items that are just beyond my sartorial reach. Do you suppose it is possible to attain a chic status while still maintaining my feminine aesthetic? Now when I say feminine I am referring to my affinity towards florals and bows, nipped in waists, and bright jewels. However when you take a look at shopbop.com it is teeming with well cut neutrals, hip prints, and bold metallic baubles. While I believe it is incredibly important to stay true to myself, I find that I am itching to reach beyond my comfort zone and shake things up. Here is what I'm eyeballing to help me do just that.

Report Signature - Vandalia
I love how this bootie manages to be both hip and chic while still emitting a slightly feminine vibe via the peeptoe and high collar. The metal grommets toughen up the look and keep these right on trend.
This gal still has a few short days until my big day and you better believe I will be continuing my birthday quest. Until tomorrow...

Walking A Mile In My Shoes
Happity hump day, my lovelies! I hope everyone is doing well. What we have here is a little look see at the gleaming, lovely, patent pumps I was sporting yesterday. There is nothing like a hot red heel to spice up an otherwise blah ensemble. This particular pair is a couple of years old so I'm afraid I won't be able to link to this exact shoe but I did take some time to peruse the ol' internets and find a little something similar.

If Money Were No Object...

Balmain - Lace Up Chiffon Bootie
I thought it would be fun to feature shoes that were attainable (as in yesterday's post) and shoes that are on my "If Money Were No Object" birthday wish list. Ugh. These stunning and, yes, sadly unattainable for the moment dreamy Balmain beauties are right on top. I adore the way the chiffon ribbon weaves its way across the top of the shoe and comes together in the back to tie into a sweet, sexy bow which only adds to their dreaminess. Le sigh... any one feel like chipping in on the wish list fulfillment birthday fund? Anyone?

Two to Tango

Carlos Santana - Tango
Please take my word for it when I tell you these are STUNNING in person. The hubs and I hit up the mall this weekend and naturally visiting the worthy shoe stores/departments between one end and the other is a necessity. I quite literally stopped in my tracks when I saw them. They were at my local Macy's store. I HAD to try them on. I. DIE. These need to be in my closet. My birthday is next week so I didn't allow my husband to buy them but merely hinted at the fact that I would be more then satisfied if the Tango ended up in my closet. I will say that I tried on my normal size (6.5) and they were too big. The six was perfect. I lurve birthdays. Stay tuned for what else is on my list.

Walking A Mile in My Shoes
First a BIG thanks to a couple of loyal readers, God's Favorite Shoes and Faith J. for their feature title suggestions! I did a little combo. Hope you like it!

Paris Hilton - Senorita
Paris Hilton - Senorita
The pictures really don't do the color justice. However that is no matter because I love them. Welcome to episode two of MY shoe feature. I wore these yesterday with a brown and cream paisley skirt, tucked in gray tee, brown woven belt, and a brightly beaded necklace that picked up the blue in the shoe quite nicely. Don't you just love the pink soles? Unfortunately the blue is no longer available as far as I can tell. But the Senorita comes in a wealth of other colors. I will say they are fairly narrow across the vamp but I'm willing to suffer for their hotness : ) Hope everyone has a fabby fab weekend! See you on Monday!

What Are You Thinking About?

Ever since I saw these in black on The Shoe Girl's blog I've been obsessed with finding the cognac pair in my size. Obsessed. According to the Jessica Simpson collection website (which is where I linked to) they will be available in July. After I finish banging out this post. I can promise you that I will be emailing the Vince Camuto group to see if there is any way I can finagle a pre-order on these bad boys. I also plan on casually looking for them when I'm in Chi-town over Memorial Day weekend.
Next up...

Cynthia Vincent for Target - Gladiator Wedge
Yeah, so the same goes for these. Except I didn't see these on The Shoe Girl's blog. Just on every other blog I've visited. Again I've been casually stopping by the shoe department whilst at Target for other things and needless to say, I've seen hide nor hare of them.
You always want what you can't have. Isn't that what they always say? So... are there any shoes you are obsessing over this season?

Why I Heart Facebook
I have to admit I am loving how companies are really starting to utilize social media as a marketing tool. Without it I wouldn't have learned these two things.

DVF happened to post these on their wall and while I'm sure my pocketbook won't be thanking me for this little discovery, I'm not sure I really care. They are that stunning.
That architectural , sculpted wedge makes my mouth water. Thick leather straps balance out the aesthetic so nicely. Let the penny pinching commence. These babies need to be mine.

Ask and Ye Shall Receive
It seems that many of you are wanting to see some shoes. But not just any shoes. My shoes : ) Thank you so much to everyone for your feedback after this post. Please keep it coming. My ultimate goal is to make you all happy and with that I've decided to do a bi-weekly post of what I'm wearing. For now I'm going to keep it to just the shoes but as I gain more confidence I'll consider moving to the entire outfit. And now, without further ado...

Um so don't mind the pasty, pasty skin. Despite the fact that I slather tanning foam on my legs every other day I'm apparently immune. I absolutely adore these shoes. Friday was only my second time wearing them. They pinch the front of my toes just a smidge. Definitely more of a standing and posing or sitting on a patio while drinking some wine shoe than a I'm gonna run a marathon kinda shoe. I kept the rest of my outfit pretty simple. Just a black blazer and watercolor print tank top. Anyhoo. I hope you liked the first edition of my shoe feature. Anyone wanna help a gal out and come up with a creative feature title? I welcome any and all suggestions.

Zip It!

Caryssal - Steve Madden
I hope all of you Mom's out there had a loverly Mother's Day! I got lots of extra love and sloppy kisses from my furry children. All four of them! And then I perused the internet for some hot shoes. How'd I do? As soon as I saw this platform pump it caught my eye for obvious reasons. The zippered detail is quite fantastic and really boosts the classic shape into overdrive. I would love to see these in person. I just may have to stop by the Steve Madden store after work tomorrow. Perhaps a little pre-birthday present is in order... I've still got a couple weeks but whatever...

Madden Bites Miu Miu

Melrow - Steve Madden
Yes there are subtle differences and frankly I am partial to the Miu Miu pair but we can certainly see where the *cough* inspiration *cough* came from. I know it is old news by now that clogs are all the rage for spring and summer and I love this shape. It's less severe and more appropriate for warmer weather. I have to say. The more I'm seeing these Miu Mius the more I love them. What do you ladies think? Are you planning on hitting up the clog trend this season?

Loser + Pizza and a Shoe
So I'm not really sure what is going on but I've managed to lose 2 followers in the past week or so. Boo hoo. I'm sad. Really sad. Did I do something offensive? Have I lost my shoe mojo? Please stop abandoning me. I'm starting to cry myself to sleep at night.
But seriously I've been thinking about changing things up and would love nothing more then to discover what you all would like to see. What can I do differently to keep you engaged in the blog? Would you like to see a more personal approach? Pictures of me and my shoes maybe once or twice a week? I have to be honest I've been pondering that idea but frankly I'm not that comfortable in my own skin anymore. Maybe a weekly or bi-weekly photo shoot will help me get past all of that. Any suggestions/ideas would be most appreciated! I love to blog and I love nothing more than getting feed back from you all. So keep those comments coming and stop leaving me damn it!
Alright now enough of MY bellyaching. I'm sure you all are dying to know what I bought from wish with my groupon. I will say that I think what I ended up with was truly what I was meant to get. But, sadly, they were out of my size in these. I couldn't even try them as the next size up was one whole size bigger than what I wear.

Tory Burch - Reva
Tory Burch - Reva
Now the reason I say it was meant to be is I've had the Reva flat on my wish list for two years now and I truly believe it was kismet. Especially since when I picked them up the display was my exact size. As soon as I slipped them on, I knew. Finally. The Reva is mine. I am beyond happy and the best part is they only cost me $144 and some change. Thanks to my groupon.

Make A Wish...

So today I clicked on my daily groupon email only to discover a $200 gift certificate to Wish (a local upscale shoe store) on sale for $85!!! Naturally I purchased said "coupon" and will be off for pizza and a shoe this afternoon. Apparently there is a pizza place right next store simply designated by a red letter "L". And since I found my camera during my crazy day of closet organizing on Sunday, if I find anything, I will be sharing my purchase with you all later today!
Hope everyone has an amazing day! And if you haven't yet checked out groupon to score local deals in your area be sure to. You never know when a good deal may come YOUR way.

Got A Case of the Mondays?

Kameryn - Harajuku Lovers
Then let this hot sandal by Harajuku Lovers perk you up. I gotta tell you, I spent almost the entire day reorganizing my closet and I'm pretty exhausted so I think I'm just gonna let these speak for themselves. Here is a little video too.
