Dear. God.

Virtually sold out, EVERYWHERE. I am dying for this pump. The price isn't even that unreasonable for this dazzling, there are no words to describe the beauty of this shoe. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on a size 37? We don't have a Louboutin store where I live. Help!

Walking A Mile In My Shoes

So I promised a dear friend and colleague whose last day in the office is Friday that I would wear my Louboutins before she leaves. I, of course, had to document such a momentous occasion. It is their debut appearance since I had the protective sole put on.

I love them. In fact, I am beyond loving them. I adore them. They are so perfect and I know I will have them in my life for many years to come.

The Big Reveal

Ahem. May I have your attention please. I wrote yesterday's post on Tuesday night so when I said tomorrow, I actually meant yesterday. As in Wednesday. Confused yet? Anyhoo I picked up my Loubies on Wednesday and I couldn't be happier. I also talked to my colleague and dear friend Lizzy on Wednesday and asked her to make sure I don't forget to take pictures of my feet on a regular basis. Because despite my promise to try and remember to take daily shoe pics I haven't taken a single one yet this week. I'm afraid a picture (of my feet/shoes) is going to have to wait until Friday, which in turn means I won't have a Walking A Mile In My Shoes post until Monday. But it's coming. I promise :)

And now without further ado... the BIG reveal

I am absolutely thrilled with the work and if you are in the Saint Louis area I highly recommend Cobblestone for all of your Louboutin needs. They also excel in other areas as well. A few years ago I took in a pair of Donald Pliner boots to have them resoled and the work was equally stunning.

TTYL my lovelies...

A Dream Is Realized

I apologize for the delay. I know I promised this to you all yesterday but Tuesday night I got knocked out with the most intense and horrible migraine. I was miserable. I didn't even watch Glee. I just laid in bed and wallowed in my own misery. However today, I am back with a story to tell.

Memorial Day weekend 2010 I spent a wonderful weekend in Chi-town with two dear friends from college. Saturday after spending an amazing two hours at the Matisse exhibit (which was absolutely stunning, by the way) we ventured down Michigan Avenue and ended up at Nordstrom. After perusing the racks of sale merchandise only to be sorely disappointed that everything that caught my eye was either a 1/2 size too small or a 1/2 size too big I glanced over to my right and spied THE table of all tables. "Hark, are those red soles, I spy?" Now I don't know about you all but we (in the STL) are apparently not worthy enough to have a Louboutin section in the shoe department at our local Nordies. Naturally I had to walk over to said table. Just to look. And pet. After a minute or two of heavy petting I thought, "What's the harm in trying on a pair or 3?" And I did. And it was glorious. And wouldn't you know it... a pair came home with me. I took the liberty of documenting the occasion for you all and for the sake of prosperity.

The shoe pile. I will say there is nothing like standing and looking behind you in the mirror and getting a peek of that red sole. Instantaneous shoe high.

The man who sold me my first pair of Louboutins. He was an absolute delight.

Grrrr!

I'm so cranky, tired, and icky feeling that not even THESE could cheer me up right now. Just thought I'd leave you with a pretty image to start your weekend. I'm a woman of few words today but, really, do I even need any? I'll let the knot speak for itself.

N.Y.L.A. + Some Design Inspiration

AGGTS is a fan of designer "inspiration". I know that there are many of you out there who shudder at the thought but for those of us who can't afford the real thing at the present moment it is much appreciated. I'm never going to say "shame on you" but I certainly won't disparage those who do. To each his own I say and until the day I can afford the real thing I will continue to enjoy a designer look at a fraction of the price.

Louboutin Circus Ankle Boots

N.Y.L.A. Culver Bootie

I am definitely partial to the Loubie but if you are looking to stand out from the crowd this stylish cut out bootie will definitely do the trick. The Culver features a patent leather upper combined with mesh cut outs. A back zip will make for easy on and off and the 1/2 inch platform will offset that 4 1/2 inch heel just a wee bit.

Prada Studded Platform Slingback - good luck finding this one.

N.Y.L.A. - Slinger

Hmm... not much difference here, other than the heel. And the price. There's that too. Let's just say there is a strong possibility these will be gracing my doorstep. The hubs owes me 2 pairs of shoes and I think it's about time to collect.

Shoes, Glorious, Shoes!

I'm sure it will came as no surprise that as soon as I spied these I knew I had to have them and that I had to share my find with all of you.

Marcia - Vince Camuto

I know! Deep intake of breath. Could these scream my name any louder? Obviously this little beauty has garnered inspiration from these.

And that is a.O.K. with me.

It has been a while since a shoe has made my heart skip a beat like Marcia has. This heel is so utterly extraordinary. From the sumptuous stone (read nude) suede, to the multiple buckled straps, to the perfect ruffle dotting the t-strap. Plus they are about 1/10 the price of the Loubies. I am picturing pairing these with a wealth of frocks come spring but I know they will work well with many fall/winter looks as well. However if the stone doesn't tickle your fancy you can also get them in

Yay or Nay Wednesday

On Saturday, after I ordered these

I was presented with an interesting blog post idea. Yes I know I said I was saving my money for these.

All in due time my friends, all in due time. (I'm currently less than 3,000 Marriott Rewards points away from a $200 Saks gift card which just puts me that much closer) Clearly I'm veering away from the subject. Okay. Back to the task at hand.

Apparently the folks over at heels.com are puzzled. A boot, which I had taken notice of, because it was flat and black and well many of you know all about my mission there is flying off the shelves. No one at heels is a big fan. I'm not a fan either. But it seems that there are a lot of people who are, especially since I've been told zappos.com can hardly keep them in stock either. So now it's time for my first "Yay or Nay Wednesday".

Currently Saving My Money For...

Louboutin Platform Pump

Simple. Classic. Perfect. I need a new black pump and I'm tired of purchasing something I have to replace every few years, so this year, I'm going to invest in this. It may take a couple of months but I know it will be worth it. It's an investment. This is a gorgeous pump that will work with anything and everything. A classic with the added boost of a hidden platform which will make walking in these a breeze. So what are you currently saving your money for?

You HAVE to check this out!

A quick shout out to the ideeli blog for posting this. I just had to share it with all of my wonderful readers!

Oh and be sure to leave a comment on today's boot mission post. Which of the three is your fave?

Poor Man's Pigalle

If you are a lover of all things shoes like I am you have certainly seen these by now. Seriously, why does that Louboutin have to be such a friggin GENIUS. It's pure torture, I tell you.

Now while these aren't an exact replica, obviously, they do show hints of the Pigalle, especially in the shape. And I do sort of love the capped studded detailing as opposed to the all over studs on the Loubies. Now add in the contrasting heel which has the sheen of a metallic and this is a spectacularly sassy pump. Let's have a little look see at what these bad boys look like on, shall we?

Man I really love that video feature on heels.com. A seriously ingenious move.

Flirty and FABULOUS Friday

First a big shout out and thank you to all of you lovely ladies who took the time to comment on yesterday's post. Also I want to give a big shout out to all of my new followers. Welcome and thank you! I am honored that you find my blog "follow worthy". Please, please don't ever hesitate to let me know if you have any post ideas. I'm always welcome to suggestions. Alright enough about that. Let's move on to some shoes.

It's been a while since I've had a Flirty and Fabulous Friday post but Holy Hell!!! Are these amazing or what???? You know we will be seeing this stunner on the red carpet as some point and time. I would certainly wear them if I had some sort of red carpet event to attend. The shimmering perfection of the slick black patent leather covered platform and heel, the gorgeous lace detailing on the vamp, the gunmetal accents on the ankle strap, and let's not forget that signature red sole all blending together to create one of the most perfect shoes ever to see the light of day. Shit. I'm telling you. This blog will be the death of me.

Le Sigh

If I had an extra $556.50 (+ shipping) I would buy these. (Oh wait I just saw I could get FREE shipping).

Christian Louboutin - No Prive

Are these barbielicious or what? Ugh, the fact that they still have my size is torture. Pure torture I tell you! What could be more perfect than a sky high, sling back, peep toe Louboutin in the most perfect shade of pink ever created?

I can't think of anything.

Anyone?
