Johnston & Murphy (The Finale)

Well ladies. I hope you enjoyed the series featuring my top picks from the Johnston & Murphy spring line. Did you have a favorite amongst the bunch? If not, never fear there are plenty more where they came from. Just visit the site and browse around. You're sure to find something that will tickle your fancy.

Emily Platform Pump

Today we have a classic black pump with a twist. A sumptuous leather upper gets amped up with the addition of a genuine Italian tortoise patent platform and heel. This perfect pump will make the ultimate addition to any girl's wardrobe. You'll find yourself slipping into these countless times for that all important board meeting or a night out with the girls. Not bad, eh?

Johnston & Murphy (Day 4)

Kristen Wedge

On Friday I mentioned that the shoe I featured was my second favorite. Meet my top pick, Kristen. I am a girl who LOVES her some nudes. I certainly haven't made it a secret. Shockingly (at least to me) I have heard from a couple of you that say you're not a fan of the nude shoe. My mind = boggled. What's not to love? This little pretty is perfect as far as I'm concerned. A pinky nude patent upper melts it's way into a raffia wrapped wedge. These have made their way on to my must have list for the season. Will they be on yours?

Johnston & Murphy (Day 3)

Emily Mary Jane

A classic mary jane gets a twist in the form of pleated leather detailing on this gorgeous heel. The dark brown piping makes this shoe. This is my second favorite of the J&M shoes I'll be featuring. I've got two more to bring you next week, including my top pick. Judging from the platform and slightly stacked heel and the fact that these come equipped with a cushioned insole you'll not only look good but you'll feel good.

Johnston and Murphy (Day 2)

Cassidy Snake T-Strap

Don't you just love the slithery, sexy, slinky feel of this sandal? Speaking of slinky the Cassidy comes equipped with an all natural snake upper. How's that get your goat? Thin delicate straps across the vamp twist and turn their way into a t-strap that winds itself right around your ankle. Snake is such a great neutral and the Cassidy will pair beautifully with just about everything in your closet.

A Sneak Peek

First, thank you to those of you who left such kind words regarding the death of my Buddy. I really appreciate it. Now... on to some shoes...

Over the next several days I will be giving you, dear readers, a sneak peek at the Johnston & Murphy spring line. I received images of my favorites and I'm so excited to share them with you. The whole collection manages to hit key trends yet can also be classified as timeless and classic. So here you are, favorite numero uno.

Come on. Isn't the combo of black patent and tortoise mega delicious? I love the openness of this wedge. Gladiators promise to be huge once again this season but sometimes don't you want to bare more? Most especially in the summer? This sassy wedge will allow you to do just that. The Carmen retails for $198 which is priceless when you consider how often you'll be grabbing for this little beauty.

Be back tomorrow with more!

Bad Blogger! Bad!

I know I've been a rotten blogger lately but my dear beloved beagle had to be put to sleep on Friday and to be honest all I did was mope around the whole weekend and cry a lot. Not so much in the mood to look for shoes. But I'll be back tomorrow with a look at the latest from Johnston & Murphy.

Over The (W)Edge

Ash - Lovely Suede Wedge

There is something about this wedge by Ash that is sending me over the edge. I'm not quite certain I can put my finger on it... Perhaps it's the muted slate gray(ish) hue, or the brass studs, or the bold cut outs and rocker chic vibe. This is a shoe that is completely out of my element but in a really good way. To be honest I'm not a big wedge person typically. As strange as this may seem I find it easier to teeter around in my stiletto heels than to balance precariously on a wedge. I blame my weak ankles and propensity for having them "go out on me" particularly when I'm wearing a wedge. Well... ankles be damned I say. These just may be ending up in my closet very soon.
