Ho Hum

I gotta be honest ladies... I've been finding it increasingly difficult not to yawn my way through shoe after shoe this season. Frankly I'm bored. I'm over gladiators (Don't think that means I won't be wearing the ones I already own) but I'm just ready for something new. I'm ready for these designers to shake things up. Introduce some new styles already. Okay. I'm done. But seriously! Does anyone else feel this way? Or am I just a crazy shoe blogger? (LOL! Obviously I wasn't done.)

Brice Pump - Bebe

Despite my rant above I really do like this pump by Bebe. Perhaps because it reminds me of this Dolce Vita pair I feature a few months ago but I never managed to get my grubby little hands on and then they were sold out everywhere. I am in desperate need of a new pair of black peep toe pumps but I'm thinking I'm going to splurge on some Loubies. However if I can't make that happen these may very well make the short list. I like the interest the textured leather lends to them and I'm still quite smitten with that exaggerated platform.

Nine West - Livlovlif

That's where I would like to think Nine West was going when they named this platform sandal. Apparently the Nine West design team, teamed up with Nordstrom to design an exclusive collection and I really like the results. There is something that seems so, I don't know, "exclusive" about knowing you can find this shoe in only one place : ) A shape that is quickly becoming a favorite I love the multi straps + bold cut outs. I also love that Nine West decided to add little pops of color with the stones instead of keeping them neutral. It really adds to their overall appeal. I'm hoping I might find these in my local Nordies. Who knows? They just may be coming home with me...

Wah wah! The weather this weekend was nothing but pure ick. Rain, tornado warnings, tornado watch, tornados touching down, and more rain. I'm so amped up to see the sunshine. Hopefully it will be making an appearance today.

I don't know about you but I've been hankering to add a bit of grey to my spring/summer shoe wardrobe. Hankering is actually probably a bit soft. Obsessed is more like it. I am loving the idea of balancing bright florals and sunshine hues with this muted tone. The tiny studs will give you just the right bit of sparkle and attitude and the bold cut outs are deliciously on trend. A back zip adds to their appeal. Yep. It's official. I'm obsessed.

This gorgeous sandal by Fergie has so much visual interest I just HAD to feature it from three different angles. They are simply stunning, no? I love the contrast of the pebbled leather with the smooth leather and the embellished center strap adds just the right amount of oomph. I think these would be gorgeous paired with a maxi come summer time.

A Spring Wedge

My mom and I were shopping at Macy's the other day and I was enjoying myself trying on all sorts of shoes, including this one. I LOVED it! I didn't buy them but I keep thinking about them which means I more than likely will be back to purchase.

Fauntain - Steve Madden

This wedge is so adorable and super comfortable to boot. The ruffled detail is pure perfection and I loved seeing my perfectly pedicured toes peeking out from underneath. This comes in so many colors too that I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like more. Oh well, too many choices is never a bad thing.

Kick that summer wardrobe into overdrive with the Gody platform sandal by Jessica Simpson. A faux wooden platform give these a luxurious boost and the oh so sexy red leather upper dotted with gold studs amp up their sex appeal. Gody also comes in fab neutrals including black or honey. I love them all!

I Wanna Rock With You

Rock & Republic - Lotus

Tap into that inner rock diva with Lotus by Rock & Republic. R&R is fairly new to shoes and they keep doing it right. This pump manages to look all business from the front but turn it around and it's a party in the back. Just like a mullet. But waaaaaaaaaaay better. I love the chain corset detailing. So saucy.

Sunshine

One thing that hasn't been lacking around here is sunshine. Saint Louis has been experiencing crazy above average temperatures. 15 to 20 degrees above. It's been crazy and somewhat disconcerting. It's as if we've skipped over spring and jumped straight to summer. What better way to jump into summer than with a hot pair of shoes? That's what I always say anyway...

I certainly didn't intend to feature wedding-y shoes in two days in a row but that's what happened. Take a closer look and you'll see the delightful baby blue upper has a pretty little luster. Add to that the budding rosette at the toe and you're all set for your something blue. I love the idea of adding a little color to your wedding day, don't you?

If the hubs and I were planning to renew our vows this year these babies would be on the short list. A gorgeous shape that is sure to not only look sexy on but would be flattering to boot. I can just imagine how the baguette shaped rhinestones will sparkle as you walk down the aisle. And, bonus, it's topped off with a delightfully delicate bow. I do.

And.... I'm back! Did ya miss me??? I'm so sorry for being away longer than I intended. It's as if it's Gwen's life mission to torture me. I heart these. From the matte grey leather, to the matching wood platform, and of course the deeelightful floral detailing at the toes. Perhaps I can buy these as a present to myself once this crazy month is over. Sounds genius, no?
