Bandaged Bootie

Thief Bootie - Fergie

This fast little ankle boot reminds me of these Louboutin lovelies that I am obsessed with. Fergie brings you the look for less. I love the bandage detail on this. A gorgeous peep toe bootie that will edge up all of those feminine frocks. The thief features a double platform, back zipper for easy on and off, and a block style heel. Tres chic.

Tuesday Smackdown - McQueen Vs. Madden

Steve Madden - Seryna

I've been eyeballing this Steve Madden bootie for a while now. You know I've been wanting to shush up my shoe collection but I've yet to bite the bullet. However it was only recently that I discovered my favorite little borrower of designs just may have "borrowed" this design from Alexander McQueen which sort of makes me want them even more. LOL. Other than the fact that the leather on the McQueen looks utterly more sumptuous, I'm not really seeing much difference. Are you? Well except for the price.

It's Never Too Early to Think About the Weekend

Sigh. It's Monday. Ah-gain. The hubs and I have a romantic getaway planned for this upcoming weekend. I'm taking a half days vacation on Friday and I cannot wait. I do believe this shoe would be perfect for a night out on the town. It's slightly reminiscent of this Louboutin that has been all over the blogosphere since it's debut. I love the strappiness of this heel, however, and the zippered detailing along the fabric ruffle. The hardware gives this otherwise overtly feminine shape an edge and I love that. I finally figured out how to imbed video from heels.com on my site so now you can see how these look on below.

Tell me these wouldn't be absolutely perfect for all of those upcoming holiday soirees or a romantic getaway.

More to Love

I actually meant to have this post up yesterday but obviously I failed in that department. Don't ask. But I had a sneaking suspicion I hadn't scheduled it correctly.

So ladies... have you had a chance to check out musthaveshoes.com yet? Here a couple more pairs that tickle my fancy.

Madeline - Careen

This is a gorgeous boot and you won't believe the price. The slouch is a huge trend in boots this season and the Careen will have you strutting your stuff in style. A beautiful cognac hue that will be an amazing addition to your wardrobe. The BEST part about this color is that you can pair it with literally everything in your closet. You will get wear, after wear, after wear outta this bad boy. Now go on. Click on the link to see the price and purchase them, if you are so inclined. You won't believe your eyes.

Madeline - Simi

Here is another boot brought to you buy Madeline and musthaveshoes.com. This hot little number brings you a classic shape with on trend detailing on the shaft. The buckled strap features shiny faux patent and studs. This is such a great way to incorporate one of this seasons must haves into your wardrobe without looking like you're trying too hard. And these are such a bargain I can't see why you would want to miss out.

Must Have Shoes

You may think, dear readers, that is the mantra I repeat to myself daily and in reality it is, however it is also the name of a fab newly launched website that allows you to search for shoes the way you want to. Musthaveshoes.com sells shoes from brands Apepazza, Poetic Licence, MADELiNE, nicole, and OTBT (just to name a few) and lets you customize the way you search for shoes. Looking for a black, peep toe pump? Just type those words into the search engine and wait for the peep toes to appear. Wanna find a sexy shoe? Just type the word sexy and poof all the sexy shoes you could dream of come at you in the blink of an eye. My favorite brand on the site is Poetic Licence and I just happened to feature two pairs from that brand in the past couple of weeks, seen here and here.

But the best part is you will find shoes you want at all the price points. I will be featuring a few of my top picks throughout the week. Let's hope you find a "must have" pair of your very own.

First let me just say that I'm so loving the vintage vibe in each of these, very 1940s pin up.

A bold turquoise hue greets you in this lovely heel by Poetic Licence. The contrasting gold detail is absolutely spot on. I love the swirl pattern at the vamp and the matching gold platform and 3 inch stacked heel really pulls the whole look together.

Yum. Don't you just love these? That scalloped detailing just sends me over the edge, so utterly lovely. Again we have contrast between a bold colored suede and leather, this time in the form of black patent. A pretty, feminine peep toe meets a flirty satin ribbon tie at the vamp all coming together to form a dreamy addition to any girl's wardrobe.

Got the Monday Blues?

As per usual my most favorite of shoe sites has added more hot shoes to their inventory. If you have the Monday blues, like I do, then let me cure what ails ya with these bad boys.

Vaughn Sandal - Report Signature

Couldn't you see Rhianna stepping out in these or some other leggy young thing? Actually, I think my friend Cassie could seriously rock this fierce little beauty by Report Signature. Strappy, gorgeous, and sky high the Vaughn features a black leather upper and some serious sex appeal. I adore the contrasting killer stiletto heel and the layers of chains about the ankle. This is truly a stunner of a shoe that is bound to get you noticed. Oo la la.

Gray Area

Arlanda - Harajuku Lovers

Harajuku Lovers brings it once again. A classic mary jane gets an update with a mix of canvas and "leather" in the prettiest soft gray hue. I love the contrasting beige strap and tan piping. These are utterly delightful and I can already imagine them paired with just about everything in my wardrobe. The 1 inch covered platform should make walking in this 4.5 inch heel a breeze.

I hope you enjoyed my first edition of "Lines I'm Loving" featuring the fab designs of Celine. Make sure you visit her blog for all the latest shoe updates for the Harajuku Lovers Brand and Betsey Johnson too.

A beautiful platform pump with a sweet little twist. Styled to be an instant classic, this delightful heel will integrate itself seamlessly into any girl's wardrobe. A sumptuous suede upper meets a 3/4 inch platform and a 4 and 3/4 inch heel. But the best part is the heart cut out detail at the ankle. So now you get be a classic and a standout. Love.

Gotta give a quick birthday shout out to my husband. I love you baby.

Lines I'm Loving - Day Two

Day two of the "Lines I'm Loving" posts continues with...

Alleria Heel - Harajuku Lovers

Love, love, love, love, love these. Seriously I am digging them even more today then when I originally saw them on Sunday. The color combo is spot on. A gorgeous mix of beige, gray, and black, a vamp featuring subtle cut outs, those double ankle straps, plus that 4.5 inch heel. Damn girl! These are ridiculously adorable. And I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Lines I'm Loving

I thought I'd post a new feature, entitled "Lines I'm Loving". First up is Harajuku Lovers. I was just browsing around on heels.com as I'm apt to do on any given Sunday and happened to notice some fab new heels have been added to site. Celine has got it going on for Fall 09 and there are at least 3 pair being added to my "must have" list as we speak. I'm going to feature my top picks throughout the week and first up is....

Airlie - Harajuku Lovers

Classic plaid in a hip modern shape. The Airlie features a fab plaid upper reminiscent of my catholic school uniform. I love the triple strap twist on this delightful mary jane. This sassy pump is completed with a covered 1 inch platform, almond shaped toe, and 4.5 inch heel. But hey if plaid ain't yo' thang, they also come in black. Gotta love that.

Flirty and Fabulous Friday

Featuring another pump today by Poetic Licence. This little beauty is right up my alley. I tend to gravitate naturally towards feminine silouhettes both in clothing and shoes. I'm trying to edge things up a bit but right now I'm a big FAIL in that department. In this picture the upper looks just like your run of the mill suede but if you click on the link for a closer glance you'll see that the suede is backed by a polyurathane/fabric lining which gives it this really cool almost perforated look. The platform gives them a bit of oomph, the flower adornment is just perfect, and I am really loving the pink sole.

Saturday Night Fever

Gift Wrapped - Poetic Licence

Say what? Channel your inner disco diva in this sexy platform by Poetic Licence. How much do you love the shoe style name? Gift wrapped? Yes please. I'd like these gift wrapped for me. I mean it's like you're walking on a disco ball. A sequined covered platform and heel topped with a satin upper and rhinestone buckled ankle strap. It's not too early to be thinking about holiday parties, you know.

Rachel Roy for Macy's

Lots o' folks happy about this collaboration. Including moi. I am definitely digging the shoes. Check em out.

Rachel Roy at ShopStyle

Izzy Ankle Boots - I love a flat boot styled with studs. Tres chic, tres on-trend, and tres fab. These bad boys have got it going on.

Rachel Roy at ShopStyle

Adina Flats - Snake embossed leather AND studs. What's not to love? The studs are just subtle enough to ensure these will remain a staple in your wardrobe for many seasons to come. Plus it's a spot on neutral. You can pair them with all of the neutrals and color too.

Rachel Roy at ShopStyle

Genna Peep Toe Ankle Boot - I think I might have found my brown bootie. I LOVE these. The textured leather upper with it's foldover detail at the ankle + a peep toe and the price is juuuuust right. Especially if I can score a Macy's coupon or discount code. Don't think that'll be too hard. Gorgeous.

Rachel Roy at ShopStyle

Bellah Pumps - Studs were definitely the order of the day over at Rachel Roy but that's okay by me. Again these are subtle enough to make the flirty fuschia pump your perfect go to. You'll be making up reasons to wear these. Patent leather with a contrasting heel. YUM-O.

Criss Cross Yeah Don't Stop

I'm clearly showing my age with that post title. I hope everyone enjoyed a nice Labor Day. I chilled with the hubs and the fam but managed to find enough time to scout out a hot pair of shoes.

Crysta Heel - Marciano

This gorgeous pump brought to you by Marciano has some really beautiful details. From the delicious plum hued suede to the gleaming almost metallic patent leather straps. I just had to show you a picture of the bottom of the pump. I simply adore how the adjustable strap wraps around the entire shoe. Finished with a recessed platform this little beauty is loaded with sex appeal yet chic enough for office. Lot's of things to love here, wouldn't you say?

Curses!

I've gotten it in my head that I need a pair of brown booties for the fall. I have a gray pair and two black pairs, one of which has cutouts so now I obviously need a brown pair :) I've been scouring the internet trying to find the perfect pair. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for. It's more of I'll know them when I see them kind of thing. I've come across quite a few that I like. This pair, for instance, caught my eye.

Kianna - Jessica Simpson

Nice. Not spectacular. Saw them in person last night. I didn't have time to try them on but I'm definitely planning on it. The price is right and I really love the studs and harness detailing. The stacked heel is also a definite plus as it is less likely to get stuck in the cobblestones in the quad.

Next up is another little beauty by Jessica Simpson and I sort of love them.

Jonas Boot - Jessica Simpson

Just short of spectacular. I've yet to see anything like them anywhere else and that, in itself, is very appealing. I do have some concerns about how they would look on. They look stunning on "gorgeous legs McGee" over at heels.com but I'm not so sure how they would look on me. I think you might need long calves and that is not something I have. They are stunning though, aren't they? From the so soft you want to caress it coffee hued suede to the leather strap wrapping its way around to a knot at the ankle there isn't much not to love.

Last but certainly not least I found these which inspired the title of this post.

Ha! So remember when I said it's a "I'll know them when I see them" kind of thing. Well here they are. Absolutely perfect. Absolutely everything I didn't know I was looking for. Once again, my girl Gwen has got me cursing her name for creating that very thing that fulfills my hearts desire but is just out of reach. It's edgy, it's chic. I love the gold almost staple like hardware and the shape is spot on. Let the stalking commence.

Transitions

I don't know about you all but I am ready with a capital R for fall. Thankfully the St. Louis weather is cooperating and instead of sweltering in the stifling heat and humidity we are basking in the most beautiful weather this town has seen in a looooong time.

Calvin Klein - Prive

I first spied this little beauty in the September pages of Bazaar and it immediately caught my eye. There they were winking at me, the words "Stylish Steal" practically jumping off of the page. These will be utterly gorgeous paired with tights once the weather turns. The anthracite lizard embossed upper is tres chic and the elastic gored sides will make for easy on and off. This sexy sandal comes in a wealth of colors including a gorgeous gray suede.
