Good Ol' Stevemeister Does It, AH-gain!

Steve Madden - Persis

Admittedly I spied the Steve Maddens first and I was intending on blogging about them because 1. They're hot. 2. I love them. 3. They're hot. Seriously I will add these to my fall must have list. But as I was browsing around on endless.com I soon discovered the L.A.M.B. pair featured below.

I really don't know what to say about this "borrowing" of designs that I haven't already. On the one hand it's bordering on the edge of smarmy. On the other it's so appreciated by me (I'm not embarrassed to admit) and I'm sure many others out there who just can't afford to lay down $350+ for a pair of shoes. These are gorgeous. I love, love, love the silhouette and the fact that these can be paired with just about everything from skirts, to dresses, to skinnies.

Our unique interlocking tabs stop your clear shoe boxes from sliding about when they are stacked.

Interlocking Stacking is a must. Our interlocking clear shoe boxes can be stacked as high as you need them to be. The real difference is, unlike others, our shoe boxes will not slide around while you are getting to your shoes and that's only one reason they are the best Clear Shoe Boxes available.
  • Clear A Grade Plastic - anything less and your shoe boxes will cloud and darken over time. Guaranteed 0.8mm thickness. Make sure you buy no less.

  • Ventilation Holes - on both sides of the clear shoe storage boxes ensuring maximum airflow.
  • Handle - clear box handles are designed never to slip out when you are carrying them."

Happy Blogoversary to Me!

Yay, yay, yay, yay!!!! I must say I can hardly believe it. A Girl's Guide to Shoes turn 1 today. Never in my wildest imagination did I fathom how truly enjoyable this experience would be. I don't want to get carried away but I do want to say a few quick things.

First and foremost a big "Thank You!" is in order. Thank you to all of you. Especially those of you who are subscribers and followers and those of you who visit the blog on a daily or regular basis. Without you there would be no A Girl's Guide to Shoes.

Also a HUGE thank you goes out to my commenters. I appreciate you all SO much. You have no idea how excited I get when I see someone has left a comment. It's all about this silly sense of self-validation. It's like wow. They liked what I like. Keep em coming. And for all of you lurkers out there speak up every once in a while. Hey JC, JC You're Alright By Me

Jeffrey Campbell that is. You may have thought I meant the OTHER JC but this is a shoe blog after all. I heart these. I heart them in the pink. I need them in the pink. I'm trying hard to think of a way I can buy these without the hubs finding out. He thinks I need new shoes like a need a hole in the head. Silly boys. Don't they know a girl can NEVER. ever. have too many shoes.

Jeffrey Campbell Roller

Ugh unfortunately my size seems to sold out everywhere. They do come in gray and black and I suppose I would settle for the gray but the pink(excuse me fuchsia), it's haunting my dreams. These are so gorg. From the cut out ankle cuff to the mini wedge. I'm about to have a full blown temper tantrum here. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on these?

Okay now before I end this post I wanted to tell you dear readers that I will be having my first giveaway tomorrow!!!! Friday is my 1 year blogoversary so to celebrate I have managed to coordinate not one, not two, but three giveaways and number four is in the works. So be sure to come back on Friday for a chance to win and tell your friends!

Designer Spotlight

Ladies. Let me be the first to introduce you to Citisoles. A foldable, tote-able, flat shoe that is sure to make your commute a breeze. Recently featured in the New York Daily News, on Forbes.com, and the New York times two enterprising young women put their heads together and created these.

Here is a little blurb from the New York Daily News Article

Aching arches gave them the idea for their new business, CitiSoles. The friends couldn't find flat shoes for after-hours that would fit into small handbags, so they decided to design their own.

Their product has a rubber sole that splits in the middle, so the faux-leather shoe folds in half and tucks into a tiny zippered pouch. The pouch unfurls into a tote bag for carrying high heels home.

The seniors spent much of the past school year working on their business launch in their Lower Manhattan dorm rooms, spending $5,000 in combined savings.

"We are recessionista entrepreneurs," said Shea, 22, of Roslyn, L.I.

"Every way we can watch costs, we do," said Levitt, also 22, of Danbury, Conn.

They'll retail for a budget-friendly $24.99.

Check out the video below to see exactly how Citisoles work.

Seriously? Could they be any cuter? (Said in my best Chandler Bing imitation)

Intrigued enough to want to purchase a pair of your own. Click here. All major credit cards are accepted.

Taupe With A Twist

Boutique 9 - Udell

I simply adore the simplicity found in this pretty little peep toe by Boutique 9. The contrasting woven platform and heel give these just the tiniest bit of oomph but it doesn't interrupt the classic lines. Don't you love that? The pleated suede and knot decoration at the vamp amps up their sex appeal but not overtly so. This pump is sure to remain a true classic in every sense. Pretty. Sexy. Perfect.

Look for Less

I have had my eye on this Valentino pump for quite some time now. Unfortunately my wallet has kept it to just that. Eyeballing it from afar. This is the ideal shoe for the true girl at heart. That perfectly shaped, perfectly placed bow. The ultimate in feminine details, the peep toe, combined with d'Orsay styling. Is it any wonder why these have been haunting my dreams?

Well, well, well my friends thanks to everybody's favorite socialite (Ahem. What?) you can now have the look of the Valentino pump for a whole let less. Not too shabby, eh?

Gwen Stefani is Evil

Evil, I tell you. Yeah her and all her fellow L.A.M.B. designing cohorts are trying to kill me. Slowly. Why else would they have created these? If not purely just to torture me. Obviously they have it out for me. How else can you explain this?

Shoe Porn Rae Heel - L.A.M.B.

Seriously???? I mean, seriously!!!! This shoe = total hotness. From the not one, not two, not three but seven straps to the zippered detailing for easy on and off. Then add the most perfectly created leather flower in an oh so loverly shade of blue. A flower that manages to look equal parts feminine and edgy at the same time. A blue flower bedecked ankle + a 4.5 inch heel. Aye, mami. It's not just a want with these, it's a need.

A Classic With A Twist

This is a gorgeous, gorgeous pump by Calvin Klein. A true classic in shape and style given a edgy vibe with that "honeycomb" stingray embossed leather. (I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned this but my husband is a lover of all things cowboy boots. As a result of this I have spent countless hours browsing the aisles and aisles of cowboy boots at Chuck's Boots. At Chuck's you can find boots in just about ANY exotic leather you can imagine. Including stingray. And that is what the print on these shoes reminds me of. I have taken the liberty of including an image of a stingray wallet in this post for comparison.)

Huh? Huh? Am I right? Seriously though this shoe should be a must have in your wardrobe. It's a steal at $98. I am this close to stealing a pair of my own.

Fab Under $50

First I apologize for the lack of posting yesterday. But hey with three posts on Friday I figured you could forgive me.

Second, I recently came across these two little gems and couldn't think of a single reason why I wouldn't want to feature them. I mean super sweet embellished sandals for under $50. What's not to love?

Pierre Dumas - Nadine-1

Glittering jewels form a shimmering, sparkling triangle adornment that will rest on so delightfully on the top your foot. The combination of colors ensure this little beauty will pair wonderfully with just about anything in your wardrobe. Summer time never looked so good.

R2 - Nicoya

It's all in the details with this sandal. From the reptile embossed upper to the stone and gold adornments. It's hard to believe these bad boys are only $40! At that price why not score yourself this pretty pink pair and they also come in white so you might as well get those too!

Just Messing Around

Lots of posts today. In an effort to avoid work I was messing around on Polyvore. I received an email from shopbop this morning and was immediately drawn to one of the looks they had put together. I took the liberty of scouring the pages of Forever21 to and created a little "Look For Less" collage. All the clothes, the bag, and the necklace were found there. Can't wait to get off work and go shopping :)

Inspired

Post Update

Last Friday I blogged about some fab new offerings from Nine West that I found on endless.com. I just received an email in my inbox this morning and for today only endless.com is offering this bad boy for 20% off.

Nine West Perseus Platform

A few of you commented that you really liked this one so maybe an extra 20% off will now make them yours! And don't forget endless offers free overnight AND free return shipping.

More Fabulosity From Nine West

Crap. I hope Kimora doesn't have "Fabulosity" trademarked. She probably does. Oh well, I'm not going to let that stop me. Cuz I am a bad a$$.

So I sort of really enjoy these. Glam meets flirty in this saucy little peep toe by Nine West. The beautiful stormy blue hued satin upper meets gold piping and a cool gold double braided platform. Step out in style and get noticed. This sweet ankle strapped slingback is guaranteed to delight.

Le Sigh

If I had an extra $556.50 (+ shipping) I would buy these. (Oh wait I just saw I could get FREE shipping).

Christian Louboutin - No Prive

Are these barbielicious or what? Ugh, the fact that they still have my size is torture. Pure torture I tell you! What could be more perfect than a sky high, sling back, peep toe Louboutin in the most perfect shade of pink ever created?

I can't think of anything.

Anyone?

It's Official, I'm Obsessed

Don't judge. As soon as I saw them I had to blog about them. And yes they do share a certain similarity to a couple pairs of shoes that I already featured this week...blah, blah, blah.

Arturo Chiang, Brina

I found these little pretties on smartbargains.com. I really love this site but I often forget about it. It's a great place to go to find some super sweet dealios. This gladiator wedge by Arturo Chiang has some fab little details. From the gold studs to the chevron patterned leather trim it's not hard to see why they caught my eye. If you aren't as smitten with the gold and cognac color combo as I am these also come in a black/blue combo that is tres delicious.

Pink is for Girls

Nah. Pink isn't really just for girls. There are many boys that can look quite fetching in pink. However this particular pink is most definitely for girls.

DKNYC Amora Sandal

We have a curved silhouette and a pretty platform just for starters add to that the ultimate in feminine enhancement with the addition of nappa leather petals trickling down from your ankle to the tops of your toes. The blush hue really amps up their girlie appeal. Deee-light-ful.

Man I so enjoy being a girl. Could you imagine if the only shoe options you had were these

or these

The horror!

Wedge-a-licious + A Bonus

I came across this delightful wedge on Piperlime yesterday. I absolutely love it!

Blaze, Vince Camuto

I am absolutely smitten over the combination of flashy gold and the gorg cognac leather. The braiding of the gold leather adds yet another wonderful contrast as well as the pairing of the cork midsole with the wooden wedge heel. Then add in the gladiator styling and this makes this the perfect "go to" shoe for the summer.

I was originally planning to only feature the Vince Camuto wedge today BUT I was browsing around on heels.com and came across these. Naturally, I thought they would be the perfect addition to this post which is why you get Wedge-a-licious + A Bonus.

BCBGirls Dorothy

This little beauty features the same fab combination of cognac and gold leather. Yum. I mean, just, Y.U.M. What is it about this pairing that is making me giddy as a school girl? This time you'll find more contrast in the wooden platform and stacked wood heel. The woven leather gives these more of a huarache style than gladiator and that is A.O.K. with me.

Do you have a preference between the two?
