Designer Spotlight

Ladies. Let me be the first to introduce you to Citisoles. A foldable, tote-able, flat shoe that is sure to make your commute a breeze. Recently featured in the New York Daily News, on Forbes.com, and the New York times two enterprising young women put their heads together and created these.

Here is a little blurb from the New York Daily News Article

Aching arches gave them the idea for their new business, CitiSoles. The friends couldn't find flat shoes for after-hours that would fit into small handbags, so they decided to design their own.

Their product has a rubber sole that splits in the middle, so the faux-leather shoe folds in half and tucks into a tiny zippered pouch. The pouch unfurls into a tote bag for carrying high heels home.

The seniors spent much of the past school year working on their business launch in their Lower Manhattan dorm rooms, spending $5,000 in combined savings.

"We are recessionista entrepreneurs," said Shea, 22, of Roslyn, L.I.

"Every way we can watch costs, we do," said Levitt, also 22, of Danbury, Conn.

They'll retail for a budget-friendly $24.99.

Seriously? Could they be any cuter? (Said in my best Chandler Bing imitation)

I don't know if you meant the product was cute or the girls were cute? I say BOTH. I'm ordering it right now!
