Ladies, and the odd gentleman, allow me to introduce you to Zappos Map. If you are not already familiar with Zappos map you should be. Zappos map allows you to watch orders placed on the Zappos website come in which are then mapped to the location the order is being shipped to in real time. It is rediculously fun and oddly fascinating to see who is ordering what and where they are. Seriously. I can't stop watching. It's so much fun! Enjoy!

It's Friday, It's A Kickback Day
One of my best guy friends in high school had this adorable little brother who was quite a bit younger than us. I think he was in the 1st or 2nd grade. My friend John was a cut up. A true class clown. Every moment was always funnier than the next. Needless to say this rubbed off on John's little brother and he was becoming quite the little class clown himself. Well one Friday Sam (that's John's little brother) was at school, leaned back, put his hands behind his head and put his feet up on his desk. The teacher looked at Sam and asked him what he was doing and Sam very seriously replied "It's Friday, It's a kickback day". So in the spirit of kickingback, I thought I'd introduce you to a little something that you can do to pass the time when you are avoiding work on your lunch break.

Fashionable Footwear Friday
This weeks Fashionable Footwear Friday features not one but two pairs. The ladies really brought their "A" game this week. Enjoy!
Quilted Red Flats worn by Laura.
I took a picture of her necklace too because it matched the shoes so well. She was wearing a khaki skirt and the shoes plus the necklace really just pulled the whole look together.

Fashionable Footwear Friday
Thanks to a little inspiration from Kristal over at Good Food, Good Friends, Good Life (Her Shoe of the Day posts) and a suggestion from my boss I am starting Fashionable Footwear Friday. All of the ladies in my office will be putting their best foot forward on Fridays from now on. Each week I am going to feature cute shoes from around the cubes(that's short for cubicle). Another cool feature of this post - I will scour the web to find similar items so if you find that you LOVE the featured shoe or shoes you can get a pair for yourself. Enjoy!

Above you'll find some adorable paisley flats worn by one of our summer interns, Whitney

Bootielicious
Whether you like it or not booties are everywhere! I got my jump on the trend last Fall and let me tell you finding the perfect pair was not easy. I would type the word bootie into the search engine on zappos, endless, or any of my other favorite shoe buying websites and nothing. I did eventually find MY perfect pair at Macy's AND I got them for %20 off! They are pictured below. I'm not excited for summer to end but I am excited to wear these again.

If you are interested in getting yourself a pair of booties this Fall well the world is your oyster. You can get them with laces, a peep toe, in color, in snake skin or metallic, you can even get them with a sling back(WTF?). See below for a few of my faves.

I couldn't help myself. I don't know if I would have the guts to wear these but this "shootie" by Miss Sixty is just too fun to pass up.

The quilting, the bow, the pretty gold metallic color make this shoe by BCBGirls my top pick.

Stylish AND Comfortable, who knew?
A few days ago a good friend and colleague, who also happens to be a stylish, hardworking mother of three asked me to post about fashion forward comfort shoes. You see, she is faced with "bad feet". They were causing her to have pain in her knee and hip so off to the doctor she went. One thing the doctor prescribed is "better shoes!" My friend also happens to be a frequent shopper of Payless and Target for her shoes and while these are perfectly acceptable places to find footwear if you have "bad feet" you need good shoes.
Now I know what you're thinking. "Comfort shoes that are stylish???, Surely that's an urban myth like Big Foot or the Lochness Monster." Well I am here to tell you that is not so my friends, not so at all. Finding fashionable comfort shoes is not as hard as you might think. I looked at several different brands(Zappos is a great resource for this)and my favorite, by far, is a brand called Sofft. Believe it or not I'm going to have to post my favorites in a slide show. Crazy, I know, but there were that many!
Most of the styles featured above you can find at Zappos.com. With free overnight shipping you can be cute and comfy before you know it. However there are a few styles you will only find here.
Locally they can be found at Dillards at the St. Louis Galleria.
Happy shopping!

Nudist Colony
As my coworkers will attest I have been on a search for the perfect nude shoe. It's the quintessential addition to any woman's wardrobe. If you find the right shade it elongates the leg AND - BONUS - you can wear them with everything! At 5'2" I am always looking for ways to make my legs look longer. This is also why 6 days out of 7 you will find me in heels. The higher the better. I have been working in my office for 5 years now and for the first three the people working there thought I was 5'5"/5"6". Heels are my thing. The problem. I've been to all of the major department stores here in the STL. I have also been to a few non-department stores and I haven't found them. I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I don't even know exactly what I'm looking for but I am sure I will know it the instant I slip them on my feet. I found this pair today on Zappos. But I'm not %100 sold on them. First of all I have some qualms about purchasing nude shoes on-line. You really have to try them on to know whether or not they will be the perfect match. Secondly they are $210.
Don't get me wrong that's a great price for Stuart Weitzman. All of the elements are there but I'm holding out hope that I might find THE perfect pair in the 'Lou AND they'll be on sale!
