Dolce Vita for Target

From Louboutin to Target. You gotta love that, right? A Girl's Guide to Shoes is a blog for every budget. No discriminating here.

Dolce Vita for Target

These remind me of the Cynthia Vincent for Target wedges that people were all agog over last year. A very stylish wedge for a truly fabulous price. The Dolce Vita for Target wedge will have you on trend with money to spare. And who couldn't use that?

I'm Not Really A Wedge Girl

I've honestly tried to be... HOWEVER... These just might make me change my mind.

Dolce Vita - Persius

So simple yet so gorgeous. Bold, look at me red. Perfect shape. Towering heel height. Not to mention these are bound to garner you a few cat calls along the way. Ain't nothin wrong with that.

Oooo Look Who Has A Boyfriend (Said in sing song voice)

Dolce Vita - Harrison

Ladies. Meet Harrison. Hayword's hot new boyfriend. Don't remember Hayword? She was featured on Friday's post. (And not to be a gossip or anything but I totally caught them making out under the bleachers.) Anyhoo don't you just love him? Lot's of masculine little touches and that height! Maybe no one will notice that he's gone prematurely gray. Oh and just in case you aren't into gray he does have two brothers, in black, and in navy. I hear they're single.

Making A Comeback (Under a Different Name)

Many moons ago I blogged about the Dolce Vita April pump and an intense shoe crush began. Much to my disappointment the April pump sold out everywhere before I could snatch it up and I was somewhat devastated. Lucky for you (and me) the April pump is back. Only now it has a more hipster chic, I attend a boarding school in Connecticut moniker.

Dolce Vita - Hayword

Have a great weekend, my chicas!

Ho Hum

I gotta be honest ladies... I've been finding it increasingly difficult not to yawn my way through shoe after shoe this season. Frankly I'm bored. I'm over gladiators (Don't think that means I won't be wearing the ones I already own) but I'm just ready for something new. I'm ready for these designers to shake things up. Introduce some new styles already. Okay. I'm done. But seriously! Does anyone else feel this way? Or am I just a crazy shoe blogger? (LOL! Obviously I wasn't done.)

Brice Pump - Bebe

Despite my rant above I really do like this pump by Bebe. Perhaps because it reminds me of this Dolce Vita pair I feature a few months ago but I never managed to get my grubby little hands on and then they were sold out everywhere. I am in desperate need of a new pair of black peep toe pumps but I'm thinking I'm going to splurge on some Loubies. However if I can't make that happen these may very well make the short list. I like the interest the textured leather lends to them and I'm still quite smitten with that exaggerated platform.

A Tuesday Look for Less

Dolce Vita - April

I really loved the YSL Imperiale pump from the first instant I saw it way back when the weather was warm. I'm so happy to see this wonderful interpretation by Dolce Vita. The exaggerated platform is stunning and truly makes this shoe. Not in need of a black pump? These also come in gray suede (I've got my eye on those.)

Suede-A-Licious

Dolce Vita - Charlotte

Make an entrance in these stunning heels by Dolce Vita. You must click through and check out the video of these on a person. This picture does not do them an ounce of justice. I love the bold, almost extreme, cut out and the side zipper gives them even more of an edge. A gorgeous suede upper combines with a 1/4 inch platform and 4 and 1/4 inch heel. If you are looking to make a statement this fall, as I am, these just might be the shoe for you.

THE Shoe of the Summer

I like my job but I love the people I work with even more. Naturally I am apt to notice the shoes my fellow co-workers are sporting. In fact, I am proud to say, that some even run to me to show me their shoes if they feel they are wearing a particularly cute pair that day. I, of course, picked up on the fact that several ladies around the office were wearing what appeared to be the exact same shoe and thought what a great opportunity it would be for a "photo op". I quickly sent an email out and asked the ladies if they owned said shoe, could they please wear it on Monday. So since this seems to be THE shoe of the summer in my office, I thought you might like to add a pair to your wardrobe. Lucky for you, you can find them in a plethora of places. You have a wealth of options in a variety of price ranges, from $17.99 to $59.95. The world is your oyster.

Elle Spring Survival Guide - Tribal

Next up for the Elle Spring Survival Guide - Tribal. Brought to you once again, recessionista style. Enjoy.

A gladiator styled sandal with wonderful top stitching evoking a Native American vibe. I love the contrast of colors between the tobacco hued leather and red and baby blue thread. The tie in the back gives these just a hint of femininity while the multi strapped cuff toughens them up in just the right way.

Dollhouse, Jacosa

Multi strapped upper embellished with intricate beading. Just imagine how you'll shimmer and sparkle your way across the dance floor. And you could do some dancing in these. Between the stacked wood heel and 3/4 inch platform your comfort is all but guaranteed.

Blue Suede Shoes

When am I not coveting shoes? Although my husband will attest that I have been after finding the perfect pair of blue suede shoes for a while now. Jessica Simpson had a pair in her collection that I tried on and loved many moons ago but I never bought them. But now... now I've found these. Yet another drool worthy shoe brought to you by Dolce Vita.

Please excuse me while I have a completely spoiled child moment here. I want! I want! I want! There isn't a single thing NOT to love about these. The color is simply the perfect shade of blue and the shape. Don't you get me started on the shape. Very similar to the Madison featured on Monday but the striking difference comes in the form of the perfect little detail. The t-strap with the double buckled straps. It's insane how much I desire them. Insane, I say.

Excuses, Excuses...

I am so sorry for being such a crappy blogger. I've been preoccupied. You see... I recently entered The TWILIGHT ZONE. Never fear though my friends. I am happily on book four and I only have about 100 pages left to go. I do apologize for my absence. Now that the holidays are looming life certainly won't be getting any less hectic. I am in the midst of beginning work on a super secret project for my parents that I'm hoping to complete by Christmas and unfortunately I don't think things will be getting better but I promise to try to be better. Starting with today.

I have been recently obsessing over purchasing a 2nd pair of brown pumps and I most certainly think this pretty little pair by Dolce Vita just may do he trick.

At $119.95 they seem like such a steal. The shape is utterly spectacular. I also love the hidden platform and sky high heel (of course). Dolce Vita is definitely a brand that is intriguing me more and more. These shoes are both sexy and sophisticated and are bound to become a wardrobe staple in no time.

Vote, Vote, Vote!

Man I am really loving this week leading up to the election! I just received an email today from solestruck.com and they are also having a 20% off sale from now until November 4. Besides the wonderful deals to be had they want to encourage all of you to get out and vote. So do it. Not only is voting one of our God given rights I also consider it to be an incredible privilege. So get out and vote in this most important and historic election and since you're going out you may as well do it in a new pair of shoes! To save 20% use the discount code VOTENOV4 and see below for my faves.

There is something incredibly intriguing about this bootie by Enzo Angiolini. I heart the shape and the lace up front and I really like that these are unlike anything I have in my shoe wardrobe. I would love to try them on. I would pair these with fall florals or something lacy .

Sky high heeled mary janes!!!!! What's not to love? There is great contrast in texture and color. YUM - MY!

This is a great shoe. Betsey's shoes can sometimes be over the top and a little out there but I really like these. They are a classic shape yet the star buckle adds the perfect whimsical touch.

Ugh this is the perfect stacked heel loafer as far as I'm concerned. Well... almost perfect. If these came in brown they would so be mine. Gorgeous gray suede with a contrasting black patent bow across the vamp. Love!

These are AH-MA-ZING! Structured and feminine at the same time. This sassy little pump has me fit to be tied. There are so many unbelievably perfect little details. Seriously you have to get a closer look. The contrasting metallic leather and metal detail at the heel... Now, I'm smitten.

Bluefly.com is a great place to go to pick up classic pieces at great prices. Every girl needs a versatile black pump in her wardrobe and I've found some delicious picks that are ripe for the choosing. Each pump is less than $200 on Bluefly. A fantastic price for a wardrobe staple that will last you many years. Designer goods and discount prices, I believe those are my two favorite phrases. Especially when they go hand in hand.

Reader Request: A Tribute to Mad Men

So unless you've been living on Mars the AMC show Mad Men has undoubtedly captured your attention. And why shouldn't it? It IS a fabulous show and not just because it has garnered 16 Emmy nominations. The acting, the story lines, the characters, not to mention the fashion is dead on. I mean, Michael Kors says that it was THE inspiration for his Fall 2008 Ready-to-Wear collection and his Fall 08 collection is To. Die. For. Argh I am lusting after this dress and I am loving the combination of olive green and purple. Will definitely be pulling that off in some way, shape, or form this season.

What is fashion without inspiration? There are some gorgeous shoes right now that have that vintage 60's vibe. But this menswear trend we've got going on right now. I think we can thank Mad Men for that as well. So see below for my favorite pics for Fall a la 60's and Menswear. Enjoy!

This round toe pump by Belle by Sigerson Morrison is perfectly adorable and would be the perfect addition to any girls wardrobe. The patent leather detail on the toe and stacked heel lends to it's vintage vibe. I could definitely see Betty Draper sporting these.

There is something that hints at a little 60's vibe to me with this stacked heel pump by Diego di Lucca. I love the color combination of neutrals here. You could pair these with a wealth of ensembles. Perfect for Peggy, don't you think?

Mmmm...the snake embossed leather updates this classically shaped pump by Dolce Vita but the gold leather piping and trim amp up it's vintage appeal. So pretty and sure to carry you into this fall and beyond.

This fabric flat by BC Footwear is perfectly adorable. The geometric ornament on the toe and the lime green hue give it that 60's feel. Couldn't you just imagine Betty pairing these with those cute little slim cropped pants she's been sporting lately?

It's the shape that gets me here. The metallic detail at the heel gives these a modern feel. The round toe says classic all the way.
I'm getting a Joan vibe, how about you? Oh Deer! Serena

The suede with the modern twist on the cap toe update this classic shape. Another shoe that would be perfect with some slim cropped pants. Belle by Sigerson Morrison 5611.

Kitten heels got there introduction in the early 60's. I love this pair by Bettye Mueller. They would be perfect for the office and you could wear these with so many things. One half demure cognac suede and one half sassy leopard print. Rowr! I'm definitely getting a Joan vibe with these too.

Now see below for a few of my menswear inspired picks. Mmmm...I am loving this trend right now. I will be picking up a pair of spectators for the fall, will you?

Lace up oxfords with some sex appeal. I love the white and black color combo here. A grown woman's version of the saddle shoe! I am smitten at the hint of the d'orsay style and the contrasting black stacked heel. AK Anne Klein Sandya

Gorgeous chocolate leather oxford inspired pump by Corso Como gets a ladylike twist with a peep toe and 3 inch stiletto heel.

The seam details truly make these shoes stand out from the pack. I love the texture added by the genuine snake skin and that three inch stacked heel give them a little edge. I would totally pair these with something super girly and feminine. Frye Adrienne Oxford.

I love this wing tip pump by Arturo Chiang. I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture but there is a cut out on the vamp that just sends me over the top. Look closer and the gray leather has a distressed look that really gives these a vintage appeal.
