Good Ol' Stu has Me Thinking of Colder Weather

And here's why...

Stuart Weitzman - Mingle Pump

Nordies???? Do you hear me? I'm going to be looking for these during your anniversary sale. Are you listening? Lurve them! So, what say you? Have you seen any shoes that are making you think of colder weather?

Live, Love, Life

Nine West - Livlovlif

That's where I would like to think Nine West was going when they named this platform sandal. Apparently the Nine West design team, teamed up with Nordstrom to design an exclusive collection and I really like the results. There is something that seems so, I don't know, "exclusive" about knowing you can find this shoe in only one place : ) A shape that is quickly becoming a favorite I love the multi straps + bold cut outs. I also love that Nine West decided to add little pops of color with the stones instead of keeping them neutral. It really adds to their overall appeal. I'm hoping I might find these in my local Nordies. Who knows? They just may be coming home with me...

Shoe Clearance at Nordstrom

I received an email from Nordstrom today touting their shoe clearance sale. Amazingly enough I found some options available that are hip to the Spring trends. See below for my top picks.

Enzo Angiolini - Trinity

Trend: Huarache

This sassy, strappy sandal by Enzo Angiolini is just what a girl needs for those warm Spring and hot Summer days. This comes in a variety of colors so if brown ain't yo thang then perhaps you would like them in black, or silver, or white. Woven leather and a buckled ankle strap all for $59.90.

Facade - Patrice

Trend - Wedge

A croc embossed leather upper tops off a 4.5 inch wedge. The peep toe and criss cross straps at the vamp make this shoe perfect for Spring and Summer. This chic little wedge pump will pair so well with some wide leg jeans and flirty ruffled tank. Now only $76.90.

Rubii Platform - Steve Madden

Trend - Fringe

I don't know about you all but I have been seeing this style of shoe everywhere. The more I see it. The more I like it. A fabulously cheeky pump, you're either gonna love or hate that fringe wrapped ankle strap. This is wonderfully nude hue that will all but guarantee you legs for days. And the price? It's just right. $64.90

Steve Madden - Mellisa

Trend - Studs

Patent leather, and grommets, and studs, oh my! From the straps, to the platform, to the 4 and 3/4 inch heel you will definitely find yourself stepping out in style and all for a mere $64.90.

Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale

I was so excited when I found this in my in-box this morning!

I love the Nordstrom half yearly sale! Naturally, the first category I check out is the shoes. There are some be-yoo-tiful shoes to be found and as always my dear readers, I'm going to share a few of my favorite finds with you.

Gray snake skin sling back. What's not to love? These shoes are quite lovely. The color is gorgeous and these could easily be paired with a wealth of looks. Now marked down from $94.95 to a mere $55.90.

What??? A featured flat??? Shocking, I know but I was running around like a crazy person at work today and was so grateful to be wearing the one pair of flats I own, which led me to thinking... I need to get me a couple more pairs of flats. Metallics aren't going anywhere anytime soon and are still going to be hot for Spring. I love the petal cut outs they give them a sort of filigree feel. This is a great flat to add to your shoe wardrobe. Get them for $79.90, marked down from $134.95.

Grinnd Bootie

Man, that Steve Madden and his extra letters in shoe style names. He's so silly. But let me tell you what isn't silly. The Grinnd bootie that's what. I LOVE these. The shape, the fabulous beaded details on the strap that intersects so delicately at the ankle. And now they can be yours for the low, low price of $118.95, down from almost $200.

I've Been a VERY Bad Girl... (Part Deux)

I caved(again).  My dear friend, Lizzy and I had a Girl's Day about a week and a half ago.  We got our hair did, had lunch, and then went shopping.  It was the final weekend of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I, of course, had to pop by the shoe department.  I went in there looking for two things.  The Circa Joan & David Pretty Boot AND the Stuart Weitzman Bouffant Pump in Grey Flannel.  Sadly the STL Nordies never received the Circa Joan & David Pretty Boot. *Sigh* it is pretty isn't it?

They did, however, have the Stuart Weitzman Bouffant Pump in three different colors. I told the sales associate exactly what I was looking for and he went in back to pull my size.  My heart was racing with excitement.  He comes out with 3 purple boxes and the news that they don't have the gray flannel in my size but they do have the leopard print.  Okay.  I'll try them on.  I, of course, have to make sure they fit.  Oh they are so pretty and perfect.  Yes, I will take these in the gray flannel please.  Can you order them?  Jonathan, the helpful sales associate, says of course and off he goes.  Guess what?  There are only two left in the company.  TWO!!!!  Eeek!

Fast forward to a few minutes later.  He found them, he found them! (I think I may have heard angels sing.) I did a little celebratory dance and fast forward again to a week and a half later...

Here!  They!  Are!

Splurge vs. Steal

Love the look of high end designer shoes but on a budget. Check out these finds below.

Now I know I already talked about the Dior Extreme Gladiator (See post "Let's talk about SEX baby!) However I failed to mention that on the same day I received my Nine West version I spotted this pair by Steve Madden.

Steal Carrie's look by pairing them with a flirty floral dress and studded belt or create a look of your own.

I love the idea of pairing these with something super feminine and girly.

Next I spotted these little gems by Guess on Piperlime. BTW they are having a sale on select styles right now. Up to 40% off!

The Guess version is very reminiscent of this pair, below, by Giuseppe Zanotti wouldn't you say? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the tortoise shell detail on the heel but the pretty pair pictured above is definitely more budget friendly.

Got a suggestion for Splurge vs. Steal, let me know in your comments to this post.
