Anyhoo, today I bring you this lovely blocked heel from one of my favorite shoe designers, Mr. Steve Madden. A rich suede upper made of cognac suede with the perfect pops of plum for some added visual interest. I love the curved pattern at the heel and toe too. Such a haute little detail. I am waiting for the day when the fashion elite stop declaring that leopard is a trend and start declaring it a wardrobe staple. I mean it's been, what?, a "trend" for 5-6+ years. This leopard print wedge is a fab way to add a pop of animal print to just about anything. Plus wedges are going to be "hot to trot" come fall. Might as well get started now...

The Mercyy pump is very reminiscent of this Elizabeth and James heel featured on the blog waaay back in August. Same metallic sheen, recessed platform, and conical heel but with a lot less hefty price tag. I'm still on a mission for the perfect gray pump and while these are technically pewter I think I could make it work. Tell me... what did you resolve to do this year?

I hope all of you Mom's out there had a loverly Mother's Day! I got lots of extra love and sloppy kisses from my furry children. All four of them! And then I perused the internet for some hot shoes. How'd I do? As soon as I saw this platform pump it caught my eye for obvious reasons. The zippered detail is quite fantastic and really boosts the classic shape into overdrive. I would love to see these in person. I just may have to stop by the Steve Madden store after work tomorrow. Perhaps a little pre-birthday present is in order...
