Fall Footwear Trend 2011 - Blocked Heels

Steve Madden - Gaayle Pump

Ok. Obviously it is taking some time for me to get back into my blogging groove. Please bear with me. Anyhoo, today I bring you this lovely blocked heel from one of my favorite shoe designers, Mr. Steve Madden. A rich suede upper made of cognac suede with the perfect pops of plum for some added visual interest. I love the curved pattern at the heel and toe too. Such a haute little detail. If you like them too, just click on the link above to get you some. Happy almost hump day everyone!

A Cloud of Leopard

Steve Madden - Kloudd

I am waiting for the day when the fashion elite stop declaring that leopard is a trend and start declaring it a wardrobe staple. I mean it's been, what?, a "trend" for 5-6+ years. This leopard print wedge is a fab way to add a pop of animal print to just about anything. Plus wedges are going to be "hot to trot" come fall. Might as well get started now...

Heartache

I'm not sure that there is a shoe that better personifies my style than this one.

Hartache - Steve Madden

Sexy, delicate, feminine and practically perfect in every way. The Hartache is making my heart ache. Yep. Definitely need to be in my life. Soon.

This Year I Resolve...

to buy more shoes! (To be honest I should probably resolve to buy less shoes but that is neither here nor there) Happy 2011 dear, dear readers. It's been awhile. Do you like the new look? First up this week I thought I'd feature this spicy little number by Steve Madden.

Steve Madden - Mercyy

The Mercyy pump is very reminiscent of this Elizabeth and James heel featured on the blog waaay back in August. Same metallic sheen, recessed platform, and conical heel but with a lot less hefty price tag. I'm still on a mission for the perfect gray pump and while these are technically pewter I think I could make it work. Tell me... what did you resolve to do this year?

Military Chic

I'm back!

I don't know about you all but military is one of my favorite trends this season. I love that it is a mix of new + classic. New neutrals (read olive and taupe) with classic touches (read buttons and buckles).

Here are a couple of my favorite interpretations.

Mia - Duke

Bold cuff. Delicate buttons. What's not to love?

Steve Madden - Caylyn

Bold elastic criss cross straps meets tone on tone olive hues. Again, what's not to love?

Fall Must Haves

I thought it might be fun to share some of my fall must haves with my wonderful blog readers. Warning this post will include other items besides shoes. Crazy, I know. But a woman can not subsist on shoes alone. Although I sure do like to try : P

Jessica Simpson- Jessica2

Look familiar? I really think I'm going to do it this time. The price is perfect as is the shape.

Jessica Simpson - Cadiz Western in Gray

I've been loving how I've been seeing these styled all around the blogosphere and beyond and now I'm anxious to add one to my collection.

A hand full of cocktail rings

Sorry no link here. I'm planning on scouring some of the vintage stores in the area to find some key pieces.

I'm usually a Coach or nothing girl but this little pony handbag has caught my eye big time. And the price is Ah-ma-zing!
Steve Madden - Chelseey

I'm sure these look familiar too. However I have a bone to pick with you Mr. Steve Madden. Last week these were $99.95 and now... NOW they are $139.95!!! WTF? Okay. End of rant. I still want to buy them. (Sheepish grin)

Alright my dears. I'm sure I have bored you all by now with my list. What, pray tell, is on yours?

Bootie Perfection

I know AGGTS has been all about the bootie lately so if you are bored with them please don't hesitate to let me know. I can't help it though. I love me some booties. Deliriously happy this style is still on trend.

Steve Madden - Chelsey

I believe Steve Madden has achieved bootie perfection with Chelsey. The shape is spot on. The platform is spot on. The price. Oh, man, I don't even want to mention they price. The price is spot on too! I need these in my life. (Um, let's try and not count how many times I'm going to be saying that over the next few weeks.) I'm thinking I'm partial to the leather pair. Which would you choose?

Oh and just because I'm cool like that I found this discount code for 20% off + free shipping (Just type in rmn20f at check out.) which will make them a mere $79.96. Yeah. I know. You're welcome.

Hot Shoes, Hotter Prices!

I know I promised a recap of my meet and greet with Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas today, however all of my photos are pure rubbish so I'm going to wait until I receive the professional photos from the event and re-cap then. I will say that it was truly an amazing experience and I can not thank Brown Shoe Company enough for the invite and the Fergie Shoes. I met some really wonderful people at the event too! Thank you. Thank you. A million times thank you! I also want to give a shout out to my girl Katina at the Nordstrom MAC Counter. You did an amazing job!

So since the recap is coming at a later date I decided that today I would show you how you can score amazing deals on some of the hottest fall trends at the clearance sale on stevemadden.com.

Wanderr - Steve Madden

What a great way to get in on the clog trend for a whole lot less. The Wanderr is now only $39.99!

Shooterr - Steve Madden

Leopard for less. Yes please! The Shooterr is also $39.99 and leopard is hot, hot, hot for fall!

Trikki - Steve Madden

A lace up oxford that is anything but masculine. These will look gorgeous paired with black tights. $49.99.

Focuss - Steve Madden

This is an ultra sexy over the knee boot in the prettiest chocolate hued suede. Where else can you find a suede OTK book for $99.99???

Happy shopping everyone!

Trend Spotting - Lace

As I've been perusing websites trolling for hot shoes I have picked on a a little trend that no one seems to be talking about, as evidenced below. And here.

House of Harlow - Lace Bootie

Just remember. You heard it here first. And as it turns out, Elle agrees with me.

It All Comes Down to the Money

Thank you so much everyone for your input regarding my quest for the perfect leopard pump (or bootie). It's so nice to be faced with a wealth of options and a wealth of wonderful, dedicated readers helping guide me along the way. You all are the best!

Now I'm going to show you what I've narrowed it down to and throw in a little extra something just for fun!

Steve Madden - Caryssa Pump

Oh man. It really is no contest isn't it? I've got some things to think about. Including whether or not the Tory Burch is in the budget. If I could find something equally as stunning for half the price I would be all over it. What do you say ladies? Is it no contest for you as well?

And just for fun I spied these...

Rachel Roy - Wagner

Crazily enough this may just trump all of them. Completely outside of my box (which is an idea I'm loving more and more lately) and I am finding myself oddly attracted to that lug sole. I know. I'm crazy, y'all. I'll be sure to let you know what I choose soon ; )

Leopard Pump - What Should I Choose (Part 2)

Sorry for being M.I.A. on Friday. I had a killer headache on Thursday night and went straight to bed after dinner. Booo for headaches.

Today is part 2 of my leopard pump dilemma. These are significantly less expensive than Thursday's options : ) Like Thursday if you could be so kind as to leave me your feedback as to your preference I would be most appreciative. BTW you all are the best for helping a fellow sole sister out. Can't wait to see what you like.

Steve Madden - Caryssa Pump

I will wholeheartedly admit that when I saw the Betsey Johnson pair my heart rate may or may not have increased. I have featured the Steve Madden Caryssa pump before but it was in the form of slithering snake embossed leather. So which is it today ladies? Betsey or Steve? There will be a final showdown tomorrow.

A Broken Promise

My photographer was out of the office on Friday so I'm afraid the next "Walking A Mile in My Shoes" post will have to wait as she is out of the office today too. So to make up for it I thought I'd post some shoes I've featured in the past that are now on SALE!!!!

Steve Madden - Caryssa

The Caryssa pump has been catching my eye for a while now. First in blush and now this hot snake embossed leather. The contrasting gold platform really amps up the sex appeal and this is a classic shape that manages to also be on trend. I love when you can find a shoe with that combo. Now throw on your LWD and these bad boys and get ready for a night out on the town.

Why I Heart Facebook

I have to admit I am loving how companies are really starting to utilize social media as a marketing tool. Without it I wouldn't have learned these two things.

Number 1

Be sure to become a Facebook fan of shoes.com and be entered for your chance to win a $100 gift certificate to their website. Click here to go straight to their page. Then, once you win, you can score yourself a pair of

Number 2

DVF happened to post these on their wall and while I'm sure my pocketbook won't be thanking me for this little discovery, I'm not sure I really care. They are that stunning.

That architectural , sculpted wedge makes my mouth water. Thick leather straps balance out the aesthetic so nicely. Let the penny pinching commence. These babies need to be mine.

Zip It!

Caryssal - Steve Madden

I hope all of you Mom's out there had a loverly Mother's Day! I got lots of extra love and sloppy kisses from my furry children. All four of them! And then I perused the internet for some hot shoes. How'd I do? As soon as I saw this platform pump it caught my eye for obvious reasons. The zippered detail is quite fantastic and really boosts the classic shape into overdrive. I would love to see these in person. I just may have to stop by the Steve Madden store after work tomorrow. Perhaps a little pre-birthday present is in order... I've still got a couple weeks but whatever...

Madden Bites Miu Miu

Melrow - Steve Madden

Yes there are subtle differences and frankly I am partial to the Miu Miu pair but we can certainly see where the *cough* inspiration *cough* came from. I know it is old news by now that clogs are all the rage for spring and summer and I love this shape. It's less severe and more appropriate for warmer weather. I have to say. The more I'm seeing these Miu Mius the more I love them. What do you ladies think? Are you planning on hitting up the clog trend this season?

A Spring Wedge

My mom and I were shopping at Macy's the other day and I was enjoying myself trying on all sorts of shoes, including this one. I LOVED it! I didn't buy them but I keep thinking about them which means I more than likely will be back to purchase.

Fauntain - Steve Madden

This wedge is so adorable and super comfortable to boot. The ruffled detail is pure perfection and I loved seeing my perfectly pedicured toes peeking out from underneath. This comes in so many colors too that I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like more. Oh well, too many choices is never a bad thing.

Going Global - A Wedge

Dazler - Steve Madden

Big, bold, look at me jewels cluster together to create a wedge with "Wow!" The pewter colored leather straps give these an almost soft effect and don't detract from what should really be the focus. Jewelry for your feet. Ain't nothing wrong with that!
