Apparently...

I decided to take some time off. I have no excuse for my absence, only an apology for not giving you all any notice. I'm back though and I thought I'd start by showing off my new shoes! Not surprisingly the two pairs I purchased have been featured on the blog at one time or another and each is a pair I've been coveting for quite a while.

The Vadio in Deep Purple is back in stock! Get it while you can.

Sam Edelman - Lorissa

Stay tuned to see them on my feet soon.

Ladies... Meet Lorna (Sam Edelman)

Lorna - Sam Edelman

Lorna is Lorissa's flirtier, girlier cousin. A spiked bow built to give you an edge. Open d'Orsay styling to give you that delicate, feminine vibe. The perfect shoe to get you in step for the weekend or a workday. Seriously? What's not to love?

Lurve

Sam Edelman - Kendall Wedge

I am in love with these leopard offerings by Sam Edelman. They will certainly leave you hot to trot all spring and summer long. Animal print is still all the rage and either of these would make a great addition to any stylish girl's wardrobe. Which one would you choose?

Pin Up

Sam Edelman - Kellan

Within the last year Sam Edelman has really been amping up the "WOW!" factor. The design team should be applauded, perhaps even a standing ovation is in order. The Kellan is certainly no exception. The t-strap at the vamp and keyhole peep toe hint towards a pin up girl vibe but that 5 inch stiletto heel reads 2011 all the way. The blush color will keep you on trend and make it so your legs go on for miles. What's not to love?

Ummm, Yes Please!

Sam Edelman - Lorissa

Solestruck.com has been BRINGING it lately. This is a stunner of a pump. With a heel covered in studs and rhinestones you've got all facets of your personality covered. Feeling dangerous. Check. Feeling glamorous. Check. I NEED these in my life. Do you hear me? The perfect juxtaposition that ever there was. So, so stunning. Le sigh...

Yay? or Nay? Hump Day

Sam Edelman - York

It has been quite a while since I've had a yay or nay post. But these Sam Edelmans caught my eye while I was perusing shoes.com and I was immediately torn. The color is gorgeous. I love the bright lavender hue and the shape. I would be intrigued to see these on. I'm stuck on the embellished platform. It is the embellishments in particular that are bothering me. I think I would like them better if they were a uniform shape. So I'm going to leave it up to you guys. What do you think? Yay? or Nay?

Quantam Leap

Sam Edelman - Quantam

Yes, yes I know. Summer hasn't even started, yet the Sam Edelman Quantam has me dreaming of the days when the leaves begin to fall. It's the Queenie kicked up about 4o notches. I absolutely adore this slick suede bootie with its embellished heel and contrasting metal stiletto. I have one word. HOT!

Also, big apologies for not posting yesterday. Blogger was down for what seemed like forever.

Gladiator Brights

If you were wise enough to jump on the gladiator trend last summer I'm sure you purchased a pair in a lovely neutral. Well for Summer 2009 gladiator brights are all the rage. Why not pick yourself up a pair of this go to basic in a color that pops. See below for a few of my top picks.

Sam Edelman - Ginnie

100% pebbled leather in a sunny orange hue. I love the delicate lines of the straps all leading up to that thick ankle cuff. Such a cool contrast in this sandal that makes these anything but ordinary. That leather looks oh so buttery soft in this gladiator style by Sam Edelman.

Mia - Hydra

This delicious turquoise blue evokes thoughts of a cool blue ocean and days spent on a warm sandy beach. Well you'll be able to strut your stuff in style from the beach to a night out on the town with these little beauties. Croc embossed leather definitely make these look more expensive than they are.

Sam Edelman - Giada

A bold scarlet hue and ethnic beading give this sexy gladiator a delightfully feminine vibe. A calf hair upper also adds a unique twist to this flirty little sandal. Add to that double ankle straps and a back zip and you are bound to get stopped on the street and asked "Where did you get those shoes?"

Boo Hoo : (

I received my new shoes today. Unfortunately they are too small. I was afraid that was going to happen. I tried on a shoe by Pour La Victoire a month or so ago and I had to go up 1/2 size. I was hoping beyond hope that maybe that was just that particular shoe and not the brand but it seems the brand runs small. Unfortunately they don't have them in a 1/2 size bigger so I can't even make an even exchange. The hubs is taking them to the UPS store tomorrow so they can be sent back. There is light at the end of the tunnel however. Now this means I can start looking for a new pair (or two) to replace them : P. The search starts....... NOW.

You can help me. I'm trying to decide between these two wedges. Although I'm having a really tough time finding the Sam Edelman pair in my size. Anyone know where I might be able to find the Tate wedge in yellow in a 6.5?

Sam Edelman - Tate Wedge

Ugh. I've been eyeballing this little wedge for a long time now. But the yellow. It's haunting me. I can't find it in my size. HALP!! I love everything about this shoe. The jewels, the truncated wedge. The cheery, floral fabric edged insole. Argh! And I haven't even mentioned the woven wedge...

Now the Lyra wedge is edgier to be sure. It's sky high and I absolutely adore the oh so unique detailing at the base of the heel. The suede pom poms dotting the vamp are a fun and girlie addition to a seriously sassy shoe.

Leave a comment with your vote. Please. I need help deciding. Don't leave me hanging, people.

Nude Flats

I have spoken often of the wonders of a good pair of nude heels. How they can do nothing but good. They elongate the leg, pair perfectly with anything and everything, etc... Well as I've been searching and exploring the internet to find shoes I want to feature on the blog I came across a few pairs of fabulously nude flats. *Sigh* Yet another pair of shoes to add to the never ending list. Now while the nude flat won't add any additional height(obviously) I consider them a great alternative to the nude heel. Especially on those days when you have lots of errands to run and comfort is key.

Flats can certainly have a tendency to look a little on the boring side but this pair by Sam Edelman is anything but. The cut out details add great visual interest and I love, love, love the toe capped with a bit of snake skin.

Jeffrey Campbell Haley Flat

A studded bow? How perfect! This flat is a great way to combine your girly side with your sassy side. These look as if they are the ultimate in comfort. That supple, flexible leather encasing your toes... pure perfection.

Steven by Steve Madden Stardom Flat

This pair by Steve Madden is my favorite of the bunch. Naturally it's the most expensive of the three. Isn't that always the way? But this, this is a glam flat. I love the shape. The almond toe and the shimmering tiled studs really appeal to me. Adore.

Come Spring, these would look fabulous paired with shorts like these Nanette Lepore shorts I found on Shopbop.

or this flirty dress I found at Forever 21.

Arturo Chiang - Iman

I adore the rich copper hue of these sassy little sandals by Arturo Chiang. I love the cut out design which really lends to the unique shape and the snake embossed leather really ups the ante. I don't have anything like this in my shoe wardrobe. I would love to try these on. They seem to me to be a sort of summery sandal version of the Sam Edelman bootie featured below or do you think I'm just talking crazy?

Perfect 10 Sale!

I heart Heels.com and guess what????? They are having a "Perfect 10" sale! Now through December 1st you can save at least $10 on each and every pair of shoes on their site. You really need to check it out. If you haven't visited heels.com before you don't know what you've been missing. Seriously! The selection is so fierce.

You know I already checked it out. See below for a few that are on my list.

Now I know these don't have the "wow" factor like some of the shoes I've been featuring lately but they do have the look of a classic with a couple of twists. A tad menswear inspired, I love the tassel just over the toe and the seaming along the front. The square toe and stacked heel gives them a modern feel. This is a shoe you'll find yourself reaching for again and again.

Nilla Heel, Sam Edelman

Silver. Studded. Strappy. HOTT! Ugh. If I thought I could pull these off for even a second, I would. Unfortunately I think you need to have legs that are a mile long and that, unfortunately, is something I don't have. This is a seriously gorgeous shoe.

The combination of the patent leather and shiny gray pleated satin really gets me here. Then throw in the platform and 5 inch cone shaped heel. I want. No, I don't just want... I need.

I really, really, really like these. The color and all the straps. The platform and the wood heel. There is just one thing that I'm on the fence about. I love the studs but I don't love the BCBgirls emblazoned on them. I would definitely have to see these in person first. But everything else is spot on. What do you think?

Don't see anything that tickles your fancy? Just click here to get to the home page and search for a pair that does. I guarantee you will.

Fashionable Footwear Friday

Thanks to a little inspiration from Kristal over at Good Food, Good Friends, Good Life (Her Shoe of the Day posts) and a suggestion from my boss I am starting Fashionable Footwear Friday. All of the ladies in my office will be putting their best foot forward on Fridays from now on. Each week I am going to feature cute shoes from around the cubes(that's short for cubicle). Another cool feature of this post - I will scour the web to find similar items so if you find that you LOVE the featured shoe or shoes you can get a pair for yourself. Enjoy!
