Continuing the quest for all things birthday I decided to take a gander around shopbop.com yesterday. I often forget about this website and I'm not sure why. To me, shopbop.com is like a cooler, hipper older sister that always seems to have those items that are just beyond my sartorial reach. Do you suppose it is possible to attain a chic status while still maintaining my feminine aesthetic? Now when I say feminine I am referring to my affinity towards florals and bows, nipped in waists, and bright jewels. However when you take a look at shopbop.com it is teeming with well cut neutrals, hip prints, and bold metallic baubles. While I believe it is incredibly important to stay true to myself, I find that I am itching to reach beyond my comfort zone and shake things up. Here is what I'm eyeballing to help me do just that.

I love how this bootie manages to be both hip and chic while still emitting a slightly feminine vibe via the peeptoe and high collar. The metal grommets toughen up the look and keep these right on trend.

Sigh. It's Monday. Ah-gain. The hubs and I have a romantic getaway planned for this upcoming weekend. I'm taking a half days vacation on Friday and I cannot wait. I do believe this shoe would be perfect for a night out on the town. It's slightly reminiscent of this Louboutin that has been all over the blogosphere since it's debut. I love the strappiness of this heel, however, and the zippered detailing along the fabric ruffle. The hardware gives this otherwise overtly feminine shape an edge and I love that. Couldn't you see Rhianna stepping out in these or some other leggy young thing? Actually, I think my friend Cassie could seriously rock this fierce little beauty by Report Signature. Strappy, gorgeous, and sky high the Vaughn features a black leather upper and some serious sex appeal. I adore the contrasting killer stiletto heel and the layers of chains about the ankle. This is truly a stunner of a shoe that is bound to get you noticed. Oo la la.

Malin Pump - Report Signature

So many delightfully key details here. This is a shoe that will guarantee you stand out from the crowd. I absolutely adore how the silver studs dotting the vamp and heel look like they are threaded along the seams. The best part about this pump is the style. Absolutely work appropriate but with an edge. I love the mix of suede and leather, the pointed toe, and I DIE over that jagged edge detail at the heel. Simply stunning.

Do you remember waaaaay back when I posted about stepping outside of my shoebox? Well unfortunately I never took the plunge but I am bound and determined to plunge head first into fall 09. Completely identified with this statement made by one of my favoritist fashionistas.

I can't remember the last time I coveted a shoe with a lug sole. It was definitely in the late 80's possibly early 90's. LOL! These are straight up H.O.T. Most def. outside of my shoe comfort zone. I am loving the contrasting suede ankle cuff slightly covering the heel with multiple buckles and the cut outs on the sides. These are crazy sexy. Don't know if I could pull them off but I'd sure love to try.

You'll be sure to amp up the attitude anywhere you go and there is certainly nothing wrong with that.

This shoe makes me think of this song by Mr. Sexy Back himself. Cause you know when you are walking down the street that's what all of those boys will be saying. These bad boys are crazy hot! The color, first of all, is TO. DIE. FOR. They also come in white and black but why mess with those "standard" neutrals when you can step out in these. The studs, the platform, the patent leather, the 4 3/4 inch stiletto heel... Damn girl!

Delicious coral hued two toned sandals brought to you by Report Signature. The Tocai heel is a seriously sexy shoe. From it's wooden platform and 4 3/4 inch heel to the shiny patent leather combined with that rich pebbled leather. Those glimmering silver buckles evoke visions of airplane seat belts hence the post title but that just adds to their uniqueness. Ugh, man this is painful. There are way too many shoes going on the list this season. How on earth is a girl to choose?

Rhinestone embellished ankles? Yes, please. I am dying to see these in person. I am hoping they will be at the Steve Madden store here in the ol' STL so I can try them on. I love the cut out cuff adorned with pretty sparkling jewels. This shoe will make a statement. This shoe needs me.

This is another shoe that I would love to see in the flesh and try on. The Dunbarton is all about flash and sass. This one is certainly gonna get you noticed. Thick straps. Giant jewels. A sexy platform and 4 3/4 inch heel. Hot, hot, hot!

Now I know these don't have the "wow" factor like some of the shoes I've been featuring lately but they do have the look of a classic with a couple of twists. A tad menswear inspired, I love the tassel just over the toe and the seaming along the front. The square toe and stacked heel gives them a modern feel. This is a shoe you'll find yourself reaching for again and again.

Nilla Heel, Sam Edelman

Silver. Studded. Strappy. HOTT! Ugh. If I thought I could pull these off for even a second, I would. Unfortunately I think you need to have legs that are a mile long and that, unfortunately, is something I don't have. This is a seriously gorgeous shoe.

Report Signature - Rockwell

The combination of the patent leather and shiny gray pleated satin really gets me here. Then throw in the platform and 5 inch cone shaped heel. I want. No, I don't just want... I need.

Dimitria Heel, BCBGirls

I really, really, really like these. The color and all the straps. The platform and the wood heel. There is just one thing that I'm on the fence about. I love the studs but I don't love the BCBgirls emblazoned on them. I would definitely have to see these in person first. But everything else is spot on. What do you think?
