LAME + L.A.M.B.

Yeah. I know. I suck. Geez this is hard. Class was canceled last night and I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled I was. Obviously I am still trying to work out a system. One post a week is not acceptable. I am so sorry. But hopefully these will make up for my absence.

L.A.M.B. - Pounce

The wonderfully adorable Leslie over at A Blonde Ambition first brought these to my attention and it was love at first site. First of all you know how obsessed I am with leopard print pumps this season and I absolutely adore this take an a classic from L.A.M.B. Gorgeous, curved, sexy shape + a sky high heel. What's not to love???

Feeling Fabulous?

L.A.M.B. - Dakota

If the answer is no then all you need to do is slip on a pair of these stunners. Seriously, what's not to love? You've got multiple straps weaving their way to and fro, hard edged studded detailing, a contrasting bright red heel that just so happens to be a mere 4 and 3/4 inches high. Trust me. You put these on and no one will be able to stop staring and that, my lovelies, is a beautiful thing.

Unintentional Hiatus

And.... I'm back! Did ya miss me??? I'm so sorry for being away longer than I intended. Work is still crazy but I have to be honest, when I'm not blogging and sharing shoes and getting feedback from my wonderful readers I miss it like you wouldn't believe. Before I get to the shoes I want to say "Welcome!" to my new followers. So happy to have you and I promise the posts aren't usually this sporadic.

L.A.M.B. - Veena

It's as if it's Gwen's life mission to torture me. I heart these. From the matte grey leather, to the matching wood platform, and of course the deeelightful floral detailing at the toes. Perhaps I can buy these as a present to myself once this crazy month is over. Sounds genius, no?

Wish It Were A Sunday

I was searching through my shoes the other day trying to find a pair that would work with what I was going to wear to the office and thought "Okay, I definitely need to pull in the reigns on the peep toes." I've got A. LOT. of peep toe pumps. A. LOT. It's time to bulk up the closed toe portion of my shoe collection so that means I'm tearing my eyes away from the peeps. Let's hope I'm successful.

Lucky for me L.A.M.B. has got some crazy hot pumps and here is the first pair I've got my eye on.

L.A.M.B. - Z-project

I first spied these little beauties in blue on heels.com (I know. Gorgeous, right?)
But it's really the tan that caught my eye. I'm not sure why. I'm not typically drawn to neutrals but that tan hue just seems to work itself so seamlessly into the shape. That upturned lip shape that seems to be all the rage. Plus check out the side view.

'Nuff said.

Curses!

I've gotten it in my head that I need a pair of brown booties for the fall. I have a gray pair and two black pairs, one of which has cutouts so now I obviously need a brown pair :) I've been scouring the internet trying to find the perfect pair. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for. It's more of I'll know them when I see them kind of thing. I've come across quite a few that I like. This pair, for instance, caught my eye.

Kianna - Jessica Simpson

Nice. Not spectacular. Saw them in person last night. I didn't have time to try them on but I'm definitely planning on it. The price is right and I really love the studs and harness detailing. The stacked heel is also a definite plus as it is less likely to get stuck in the cobblestones in the quad.

Next up is another little beauty by Jessica Simpson and I sort of love them.

Jonas Boot - Jessica Simpson

Just short of spectacular. I've yet to see anything like them anywhere else and that, in itself, is very appealing. I do have some concerns about how they would look on. They look stunning on "gorgeous legs McGee" over at heels.com but I'm not so sure how they would look on me. I think you might need long calves and that is not something I have. They are stunning though, aren't they? From the so soft you want to caress it coffee hued suede to the leather strap wrapping its way around to a knot at the ankle there isn't much not to love.

Last but certainly not least I found these which inspired the title of this post.

Ha! So remember when I said it's a "I'll know them when I see them" kind of thing. Well here they are. Absolutely perfect. Absolutely everything I didn't know I was looking for. Once again, my girl Gwen has got me cursing her name for creating that very thing that fulfills my hearts desire but is just out of reach. It's edgy, it's chic. I love the gold almost staple like hardware and the shape is spot on. Let the stalking commence.

So, So, Sad

Remember last week when I said I was going to be in trouble because I bought these...

Well I received them on Friday. There was a beautiful, glorious package sitting right next to the front door when I got home from work. Don't you love that? I brought them to my bedroom and tore into the box. The packaging was so lovely. I lifted the lid of that oh so sweet black and white striped shoe box. I was beyond excited to have finally purchased my first pair of L.A.M.B. shoes thanks to Rue La La. The first thing I saw was the dust bag. *Sigh* and then I pulled away the tissue and there they were in all of their black leather glory. I reached in, took them out of the box, kicked off my shoes and slid my foot oh so gracefully into my new shoes. I buckled the straps and..... CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! They're too effing small. WTF L.A.M.B.????? So now they are on their back to Rue La La.

I am praying that these fit.

If not I will be devastated. Dev.as.stat.ed.

Oops!

I sure hope everyone had a safe and lovely 4th! Mine was pretty uneventful. A girl's night in with wine, movies (the shoot em up, laugh out loud kind) and ice cream. Just helping one of my besties beat the break up blues. Nothing like laughs, ice cream, wine and guns to get over a stinky boy.

I was a naughty girl last week. It's a good thing my husband doesn't read my blog very often. I made not one, but two shoe purchases. The first pair you saw on Thursday. OMG. Can't wait to get them. The second pair is thanks to Rue La La and Molly. You see Molly is a reader of the blog who just so happened to give me a heads up that Rue La La was featuring L.A.M.B. shoes. Which turned out to be a blessing AND a curse, cuz I bought these.

I'm telling you. It's a sickness. I really need to remove myself from these online, members only, deal of the century, designer merchandise schilling sites. In my defense they were only $119. A helluva deal when you consider the original price. Aye, mami. I'm going to be in soooo much trouble.

Oh if you want an invite to Rue La La, just email me and I'll hook you up.

Good Ol' Stevemeister Does It, AH-gain!

Steve Madden - Persis

Admittedly I spied the Steve Maddens first and I was intending on blogging about them because 1. They're hot. 2. I love them. 3. They're hot. Seriously I will add these to my fall must have list. But as I was browsing around on endless.com I soon discovered the L.A.M.B. pair featured below.

I really don't know what to say about this "borrowing" of designs that I haven't already. On the one hand it's bordering on the edge of smarmy. On the other it's so appreciated by me (I'm not embarrassed to admit) and I'm sure many others out there who just can't afford to lay down $350+ for a pair of shoes. These are gorgeous. I love, love, love the silhouette and the fact that these can be paired with just about everything from skirts, to dresses, to skinnies.

Gwen Stefani is Evil

Evil, I tell you. Yeah her and all her fellow L.A.M.B. designing cohorts are trying to kill me. Slowly. Why else would they have created these? If not purely just to torture me. Obviously they have it out for me. How else can you explain this?

Shoe Porn Rae Heel - L.A.M.B.

Seriously???? I mean, seriously!!!! This shoe = total hotness. From the not one, not two, not three but seven straps to the zippered detailing for easy on and off. Then add the most perfectly created leather flower in an oh so loverly shade of blue. A flower that manages to look equal parts feminine and edgy at the same time. A blue flower bedecked ankle + a 4.5 inch heel. Aye, mami. It's not just a want with these, it's a need.

Argh!

Damn you Gwen Stefani and your gorgeous L.A.M.B. designs. Ugh. I'm still not over the Kochi pump and then you have to go and create another drool worthy shoe. Is it your goal in life to torture me?

Laken Sandal

HOLY. CRAP. Okay so the fact that a shoe can make my heart skip a beat is sort of silly but i can't help it. These are seriously fabulous. The multi-strap detailing in just the slightest of contrasting nude hues and that heel shape. OMG. I DIE. Oh I must figure out a way to make them mine.

Mary had a little L.A.M.B.

Ah, Gwen Stefani. I have followed you ever since your days as the lead singer of No Doubt. Aren't we due for a No Doubt album soon? (Do people even call them albums any more?) Did I hear a rumor about that or is she planning on staying solo forever? Am I crazy? Okay it's official. Google has confirmed that I am, indeed, not crazy. Apparently we can anticipate a new album in early 2009. However, I digress. Sorry.

Anyhoo, not only is Gwen amazingly talented on stage and a style icon off stage I am L-O-V-E, loving her Fall 08 shoe collection. I want all of these shoes I'm going to be featuring below and now, with the deal I just struck with my husband, I may just be on my way to to purchasing a pair or two.

Mine! Oh these... these are my absolute favorites. A basic black pump that's not really a basic. They are so perfect, in my humble opinion. A classic that will truly take you from season to season. A double platform, that rounded toe and the heel... I'm lusting after these shoes people.

Camden Scallop Open Toe Bootie

I know these aren't for everybody but I happen to love them. And I love them because of the scalloped leather detail. Seriously stunning.

YoYo Sandal

Some more fringe I can get on board with but this time it comes in metal. The ombre shaded chains down the middle strap are fabulous. I love that sexy little detail. H-o-t!

Rosebury Boot

These aren't your granny's booties. Well unless your granny is super stylish and accustom to walking around on 4 1/2 inch heels. Then these are for her. I am digging the cap toe and button detail, so adorable.

Miyagi Heel

Love them. You know how I mentioned I may be able to pick up a pair or two. Well this just may be my #2. I love the purple snake skin, the criss cross straps, and the stripe details. Yum!

Nayuta Zipper Sandal

Yesterday, the ladies at ShoeBlog talked about zipper details and how they are quickly becoming a hot little trend. I don't think the gladiator look is going away anytime soon either and you are hitting both marks here. These would be fabulous paired with tights for the fall and after viewing some of the runway looks for Spring 09 you could happily and fearlessly wear these all year long.

Mitaka Pump

Guaranteed to be another classic in your wardrobe. It's a neutral pump that will take you everywhere from work to weekend and everything in between.
