Halp Me! Halp Me!

Alright Chi-town readers or those of you who are uber familiar with this hot mid-western city. This blog writer has a trip planned with her bestie from college to Chicago at the end of May and I am looking for any tips, tricks, and suggestions for the ultimate in shoe shopping. Please leave a comment or shoot me an email with any of the above. It will be most appreciated.

What fun! Having lived in downtown Chicago for 7 years (until getting married), here's what I would recommend:
Downtown:
- Macy's (on State Street). They have a huge shoe department. The Macy's in downtown Chicago are nothing like STL. (as does Nordstroms but I never really shopped there.)
- Bloomingdale's has a smaller dept but good brands.
- If you like Stuart Weitzman like I do, they have a shop on Michigan Ave. in the same mall as Bloomies.

Lincoln Park/Armitage:
-Lori's Shoes. Pricey and nice!
-Slithers. I love this place, a lot of Italian shoes. You may not recognize the brands, but the boots last years and years.

There are others, but those are my faves!

I also second Lori's Shoes. FABULOUS shoes and great customer service. Akira also has a great shoe selection. Of course all of the downtown department stores are wonderous as well (macy's, nordstrom rack, bloomie's, neiman marcus).
