Yay, yay, yay, yay!!!! I must say I can hardly believe it. A Girl's Guide to Shoes turn 1 today. Never in my wildest imagination did I fathom how truly enjoyable this experience would be. I don't want to get carried away but I do want to say a few quick things.First and foremost a big "Thank You!" is in order. Thank you to all of you. Especially those of you who are subscribers and followers and those of you who visit the blog on a daily or regular basis. Without you there would be no A Girl's Guide to Shoes.
Also a HUGE thank you goes out to my commenters. I appreciate you all SO much. You have no idea how excited I get when I see someone has left a comment. It's all about this silly sense of self-validation. It's like wow. They liked what I like. Keep em coming. And for all of you lurkers out there speak up every once in a while. Finally I am truly grateful for the friendships and connections I've made. I heart all my fellow fashionistas and shoe lovers and blogging cohorts and hope that one day we're able to meet face to face and go shoe shopping, of course!

for summer I would wear that scarf with a white casual dress and my awesome cowboy boots that i love love love... even though I live in Boston... country works everywhere

To try and win the gorgeous scarf: this is how I would style it: I would wait until early fall (too hot right now!) and wear it to work in a loose knot around my neck along with a navy skirt, white button-down shirt, and some navy slingbacks. The scarf's fun print would help me not look like an airline stewardess! :) I can't help it, I love the corporate look.

I love the scarf. I would pair it with some medium-wash skinny jeans, a black short sleeved turtleneck or scoopneck, and some black pumps. Think kind of an Andy Warhol look (minus the crazy hair!), since the scarf reminds me of paintbrush strokes :)

Okay, so the scarf! (Which I am absolutely in love with.) I would go with a simple cute summer dress. In fact, I have my eye on the "Cusp of Summer" dress at Anthropologie in brown.
And shoes-wise I'd go with Navy laceless chucks since realistically that's the only way I can make it walking around the city all day. ;-)

Okay...let's be honest here - I'm pregnant and my fashion is sooo lacking in baby-bump style(where are all the cute maternity clothes?). I'm attaching all my style sensibility to my accessories - so I'd surely rock this scarf with a lame jersey dress, which is the only comfortable thing to stuff my preggers body into!
In my non-knocked up state i'd wear it with a white t-back tanktop and high-waisted wide leg dark denim jeans.

Those colors are amazing. They deserve to steal the show - I'd pair it with a white or grey T and a dark wash jean.
