Feelin Blue

Stuart Weitzman - Miss Jane

I can't even begin to tell you how delightfully delicious these are in person. The picture does not do this shoe justice. I haven't yet had the opportunity to try them on but believe me my feet will make their way into these little beauties soon. Just imagine how that gleaming silver buckle will wink at you(and everyone else) as you strut your stuff to and fro. The glossy cobalt patent leather and that 5 inch heel combine to create some major sex appeal but that high-rise platform will make you feel like you are walking on air.

Lust-Worthy Thursday???

Ahem. Let me start out by saying the only reason I didn't post about these bad boys yesterday is because I didn't know of their existence until today. But thanks to my cyber friend(I hope I'm not being too presumptuous.) Diabolina and the fact that I'm addicted to her blog I was introduced to them. Yeah so um thanks. Thanks for getting me to lust after yet ah-noth-er pair of shoes. And somehow I knew... I just knew I would find them on net-a-porter. Man, I'm such a slave to fashion.

Marni Suede Platform Slingback

Ughs. BA-NA-NAS! These are absolutely stunning. The combo of black and purple suede (Although from the picture the suede looks gray to me, maybe it's my 30 something eyes.) is so delicious. I love the cone shaped wooden heel and the shape. This is certainly not a shoe for the feint of heart. It's bold. It's hot. It's sexy. Anyone wanna buy me a pair? I can be bold. I can be hot. I can be sexy.

Prada Spring 09

This is a continuation of Monday's post. Since there were quite a few pairs from the Spring collection that caught my eye I thought I'd split up the love throughout the week. Nice, huh?

Crisscross Platform

Oh that platform is killing me. I love it so much. Python meets brown leather in this pretty as a picture sandal by Prada. A delicate crisscross strap connected by a gold stud adorns the top of your foot. Move a little further down and that pattern in repeated in the straps intersecting just before your toes begin. These details are so simple yet so perfect. Delicious.

Satin and Leather Platform

Alright so I'm fairly certain I've made it clear just how much I love that platform so I won't mention it again. Instead I'll talk about the petal soft satin straps. I love the wrinkled and what looks like a bit of bleaching detail. Then add not a 5 inch but a 5.5 inch heel. Holy heel, batman!

Sodoku Sandal - Chinese Laundry

I really really love this sandal by Chinese Laundry. I certainly don't own anything like it. I just can't decide which color I want. Of course for the price I could just get both but I am not the type of girl to own the same shoe in several different colors. I have never been interested in that. That is not the case for my mom and I'm sure many of you out there. But it's just this weird, silly quirk I have. So I'm going to leave the decision up to you all. Which color do you prefer?

Sodoku Sandal

The sodoku sandal has such a unique vibe. I love that there is the tiniest hint of a wedge. Hey, a little height can go a long way. Am I right? The shape is chic but the ribbon tie adds just the right touch of girlie appeal. You're sure to put your best fashion foot forward when you step out in these.

Prada Spring 09

I received an email from Saks Fifth Avenue the other day touting the new Prada Spring 09 collection. Naturally, I had to check it out. I found quite a few pairs that tickled my fancy. I am loving the simplicity of the collection. Gorgeous shoes with a few key details that make them anything but ordinary.

Platform Slingbacks

Stunning. I absolutely adore this slingback pump. The contrasting tobacco and camel hued leather. The cap toe. The stitching and the knotted cross strap all set atop that five tiered stitched platform that brings the aesthetics of this shoe up to a whole new level. This shoe is bound to be an instant classic.

Knotted Sandals

More knotted leather and stitching. I'm sensing a theme and loving it. A wonderful more summery version of the slingback pump this sandal is equally as stunning. It's so simple yet oozes with elegance and rich details. You would never guess that the heel is 5 inches just by looking at it. Never fear though. That smidge of platform will make these a little easier to walk in.

Check out this Frugal Friday deal!

I received an email in my inbox this morning from endless.com. Today only they are offering four of their best selling boots for under $75. Just click here to check out the styles. I'd love to hear from you if you decide to purchase a pair. Happy Shopping!

Spring into Steve Madden

I was browsing the merch at stevemadden.com as I am apt to do and spotted a couple of finds that tickled my fancy. Naturally I had to feature them here. I mean, this is a shoe blog after all.

Adorabl

Well. Adorable, indeed. Or do I mean adorabl? You know I heart that Steve Madden and his love of adding extra letters and leaving off letters for his shoe style names. He's so silly and clever like that. I have been looking for a pair of gold flat sandals. Not hardcore looking but looking nonetheless. A peek here, a peek there in the sale shoe aisles. Searching quietly but not quite finding the perfect pair. Well my search can end. This sandal by Steve Madden is perfect. From the sling back strap, to the shimmering gold, to the sweet ruffle trickling from the ankle to the tops of your toes. Love.

Cognac leather, gladiator styling, and studs. Need I say more? Oh yes. There's also the platform and 4.5 inch heel. Oh yeah!

The Look for Less

When I first spied the images from the Spring 09 Louis Vuitton runway show I was fit to be tied. I knew there was no way I could afford that shoe that we saw over and over again. But that certainly didn't stop me from wishing, and hoping, and praying. I absolutely adored the mish mash of details. The mix of textures, and prints, and embellishments from feathers, to stones, to jewels somehow managed to just work rather than look over the top.

Alas, I thought this would be a shoe I would have to simply admire from afar but thanks to the lovely folks over at Bebe I can now have a pair of my very own. Well at least a very similar version and that is a. o.k. by me. Check it out!

Katrin Leather Exotic Sandal

OMG! I was so excited when I saw these. Bebe does an amazing job here and the price is just right. I mean these have all of the right elements for a fraction of the price. The platform is perfection. The studs, the jewel, the turquoise beads, the feather... ugh! They will be mine. Oh yes. They will be mine. Hahahahahaha (that is the sound of maniacal laughter you hear). Seriously folks. This is one hot shoe. I can't wait to get them.

FeedBurner

Hello all!

I just signed up for a FeedBurner account to help me keep better track of my stats. For all of my current subscribers please let me know if you experience any problems. I followed the instructions for redirecting current subscribers and I'm pretty sure I did it right but I'm not 100% confident. You can either leave a comment on this post or email me at shoezq@gmail.com if you encounter any problems.

Yep. I'm still reaching. Am I ready to jump?

daniblack Rambo Pump

Hmmm...has anyone else noticed the striking similarity between most of the pumps I've been featuring to help me jump outside of my box? Apparently I believe lace ups are the key. Anyhoo I know I said yesterday the pair I featured was my favorite of the bunch but now that I'm taking another good hard look at these I am changing my mind. Hey, it's a woman's perogative, right? The thing that this pair has over the others is the color. It's that nude. I LOVE it. The shape is dead on and unlike anything that I currently own. Then add the zipper in the back and that wooden stiletto heel and I'm simply done in. Yep. I think these are it. What do you guys think?

Option #3

Evelina, Steve Madden

I thought you might be sick of seeing the title "Stepping Outside of My Shoe Box". Stating it again seemed a little like overkill. Ladies. Meet Evelina. I love, love, love the taupe/gray colored suede, the tied sling back, and the perforated details that will make that suede breathable as the weather begins to warm. These would pair well with many, many things. This is a wonderfully neutral hue and I would say that they are my top pick so far but I'm afraid they aren't far enough outside of the box. I really want to tap into my sense of adventure here and I'm not sure these would do it.

Stepping Outside of My Shoe Box

Shani-Castagno by Bronx

Today's post features choice #2. The Shani-Castagno by Bronx. This is more daring than the first option I posted about on Friday. At least in my book. I love the leather wrapped wedge heel and the deep dark chocolate pebbled leather. The cut out details and lace up really boosts these into overdrive and I can just imagine pairing these with a wealth of spring frocks to really help amp up the attitude. You know the attitude I'm talking about right? The don't mess with me attitude. That will pair perfectly with these.

Stepping Outside of My Shoe Box

With so many style mavens out there cataloging their day-to-day wear it's difficult to read their blogs and not feel inspired. Ugh if I had half that fashion chutzpah when I was their age... These girls are fierce and they are mere teenagers. Well this thirty something says "Hat's off" and thank you. Thank you to Fashion Toast and Sea of Shoes for not being afraid to get out there and for not giving a shit. I could never pull off what they wear and I would never want to copy someone's style. But what I can do is garner inspiration and if I'm going to garner inspiration anywhere it's going to be with shoes.

So here I am. Stepping waaaaaaaaay outside of "my shoe box". Now, let me tell you what's going to happen. In the next few days I will be posting a selection of shoes I am considering to help me in my endeavor. You can love them or hate them but guess what? No matter what your opinion I'm going to put it all out there and just not give a shit. Please don't take that last comment the wrong way ; ) I'm stepping outside of my box people. This is what happens.

Introducing - choice #1. The more and more I've looked at these, the more and more I've grown to love them. These hit just about every hot trend for the season. The lace up, the bootie like shape. But I must say I find them oddly appealing. I think my husband will absolutely hate them. No matter. He's going to hate all of the shoes I will be posting over the next few days. The leather on these looks so sumptuous and soft and I can just imagine my brightly painted and pedicured toes peeking out of these once the weather turns warm.

Pour La Victoire - Blanche

LOL! As soon as I saw the style name I immediately thought of this woman.

My grandma loved the Golden Girls. I used to spend the night at her house almost every weekend when I was little and we would watch the Golden Girls curled up on the couch together. So many great memories... *sigh* Okay well now that I've gone completely off track let's talk about shoes, shall we?

Blanche

Ladies. Meet Blanche. Now you know Ms. Devereaux would have rocked the shoe of her namesake back in the day. This sandal grabbed my attention as soon as I set eyes on it last week. The contrasting royal blue straps make these anything but ordinary and the shape is very on trend. I really, really like them. If I do buy them I think I'll wait for them to go on sale. Let the cyber stalking commence!

Lust-Worthy Wednesday

It's back baby! It has been a while. But when I saw this pump, I knew. I just knew that I had to feature it for a LWW post.

I die. OMG! That triple platform highlighted by the contrasting beige, cream, and white colors and that ice blue. I can't contain myself. This shoe is so fantastic. I think someone needs to re-start my heart, stat. I would give anything to try these on. Especially just to see if walking in them would be easy or hard. I've had a lot of practice walking in some pretty high heels but 5.5 inches? That would be the highest to date.

Steve Madden Clearance - Shop Now and Save!

From now through Valentine's Day the folks at Steve Madden are offering an additional 40% off their clearance shoes. Here's your chance to score some pretty sweet deals on shoes that you can wear now and into the Spring and even beyond. A word to the wise my friends. All of the clearance shoes are final sale but if you purchase a pair and they don't work out you can always sell them on E-Bay ; )!

I can't believe these are on clearance. Cage heels are everywhere. I first talked about this shoe trend waaaaaaaaay back in August and I know from my site meter stats that many of you out there are googling"cage heels". Take this opportunity to grab yourself a pair of these hot shoes. Now they can be yours for only $59.99.

I, of course, love the ruffled detailing on this sassy little flat. How cute would these be paired with your favorite summer capris? If you're not digging on the pewter you've got many other options. Just $41.99 + shipping and they can be yours.

Graham

This is a really fab evening shoe. A black fabric upper and that sweet little bow at the heel. I love that adornment. It's nice to see a bow on the heel instead of on the toes. Makes for a nice change of pace, wouldn't you say? $35.99 + shipping. An evening shoe for that price! How amazing is that?

Mercii

I love this shoe. It's a little outside of my box but frankly it's time for me to step out of it. I have definitely had my eye on some shoe styles that are way different than anything I have right now. I tend to lean toward the girlier side of things when it comes to shoes but I'm really excited and open to trying something new. I love the snake embossed leather and that wide buckled strap. Now only $53.99.

Vulture

Vulture? Really? I mean, really? You couldn't have thought of a better name for this shoe? Don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with vultures. I just don't think it makes the greatest of shoe style names. Okay. Enough about the name. This lace up bootie has some serious sass, pretty patent leather, and a 4.5 inch heel. Get it now for $53.99!

Hot Damn!

I had a not so pleasant experience with that particular flavor of schnapps in college but that is a story for another day. I will tell you I haven't had it since. LOL! Anyhoo it's certainly no secret that the sappiest of holidays is quickly approaching and there are quite a lot of websites featuring shoes in the prettiest of red and pink hues. I must admit when it comes to Valentine's Day I feel the same way as my fellow shoe lover and (I hope I'm not being presumptuous) cyber friend Celine a.k.a. The Shoe Girl. But I'm certainly not going to let that stop me from featuring some of my favorite finds from the shoe sites. I may not celebrate V-Day but I do love me some red and pink shoes.

Delano Slingback - Vince Camuto

Yummy, yum, yum, yum. Adore. A soft raspberry hue meets a strong stacked heel with fab contrasting details. Modern and feminine this shoe will take you from work to a night out on the town in style.

Betseyville, Adan

You'll be pretty as a picture in this Betseyville pump. With it's petal pink patent leather upper and that fabric polka dot edge with scalloped details plus the peep toe topped with that sweet little bow. Girlie enough for ya?

From the ultimate in femininity to a pump with a sleek modern edge. If the Betseyville Adan is too saccharine for your tastes then let me introduce you to Ventura by Guess. Gleaming patent leather with a split vamp and an architectural stacked wooden heel all combine with striking results.

I love this shoe. That bow looks like it is formed from the softest of leather and that threading around the edge... so delightful. I especially enjoy the D'Orsay styling and that sexy peep toe and 4 inch tapered heel.

Via Spiga Mavis

Talk about a shoe with some MAJOR sex appeal. The Via Spiga Mavis is goooorgeous! Ugh this is definitely my favorite of the bunch. Pair these with that "come hither" look and you are all but guaranteed some S-E-X. You might not even make it to the bedroom. LOL! Those multiple buckled straps and that snake print detail... LOVE!

Orange Crush

No matter what you call it be it orange, or coral, or vermillion I am spying this pretty little hue everywhere. I love orange(coral, vermillion)! Especially in shoes. What a great way to add a little pop of color to all of those flirty Spring frocks.

Luna, Charles by Charles David

Now this flirty little wedge is leaning more towards the coral side and that is a. o.k. by me. Such fun details. The slingback, the strappy design and the tonal platform. Quite fetching, no?

BCBGirls Ramos Wedge

A fabric upper with great patent leather accents. From the trimmed edges, to the bold buckle just above the peep toe, and the adjustable ankle strap. But if orange isn't your cup of tea these also come in crushed berry, black, and brown. I recommend either the berry or the orange. After all brights are a hot trend for the Spring and like I said before they are a fabulously fun way to add just the right amount of oomph to your Spring/Summer wardrobe.

More Nudes

Okay, it's really just one nude but I was trolling around SmartBargains.com today and I came across these babies. I adore them! If you haven't ever visited the aforementioned site I highly recommend you do. There are some seriously amazing deals to be had. I mean just check out the shoes above. The Saunter Peep Toe Pump from Charles by Charles David is absolutely adorable. Nudes still look to be huge for Spring and this shoe has just enough sweet little details to keep them from looking anything but ordinary. The triple straps at the toe adorned with buttons and the cut out details on the heel... Delightful! Score yourself a pair for the bargain basement price of $59.99. They orginally retailed for $135!

Givenchy - Lace-Up Sandals

BANANAS! Now here is a lace up I can get on board with. You may or may not remember my recent post featuring shoes with lace up detailing and how I was on the fence about this up and coming hot shoe style. However, this Givenchy sandal has me all a twitter. The designers got it right with this little number. The silouhette is breathtaking and the lace up detail manages to be feminine and flirty and not overwhelm the shoe. These bad boys are crazy hot, I tell you! Crazy hot!

BCBGirls Six Sandal

Such pretty colors combine in the color block detailing on this sandal by BCBGirls. Rich coral, ivory, and lavender working together to create a look that is the epitome of Spring. The subtle pleating on the vamp, the peep toe, and the platform give this sandal a wonderfully feminine vibe as well.

MICHAEL Michael Kors - Spring 2009

I received an email from Nordies the other day highlighting the new MICHAEL by Michael Kors Spring 09 collection and there are a couple of pairs I am uber excited about. One of these is going on "The List" I just can't decide which one.

I really love the color combo on both pairs. The combination of neutral hues is genius. The pair pictured above with it's multiple buckled straps and 1 inch platform gives great visual interest but then when you add the demi wedge in the contrasting color, well it simply sends me over the edge. In a word. Hot!

Niki Gladiator Sandal

Now the Niki Gladiator sandal is crazy sexy! That double platform and sky high heel. Va Va Va Voom! I also really love the gold insole and woven strap details. The 1st pair would definitely be more office appropriate but that 2nd pair... Man, I can't decide! Which pair do you prefer?
