Did a little shopping today. My mom and I ran around town. We're both off until Friday this week and are enjoying some mother/daughter bonding time together. We had to run to Penzey's to pick up a few spices. If you have a Penzey's in your area, it should be the only place you get your spices. You can't beat the price for the quality. Seriously amazing stuff. We popped into Target after that to check out their storage containers. Before we left I decided to take a gander through the shoe department. I am looking for some slipper boots. Like these I saw on the Old Navy website.

I got distracted. Of course. The sweater boots (slipper boots?) were all but forgotten as soon as I discovered that the Sigerson Morrison collection for Target was on clearance.

Glam Crystal Bootie

Okay. Seriously. I love these! I snatched them up in a heartbeat. They are so cute on and they sparkle quite beautifully. Oh and the irony here is these $30 booties are 100% genuine suede. Take that Bakers! I'm so anxious to wear them. BTW when the hubs saw them he thought they were awful. LOL!

Santa Baby

Just slip a bootie under the tree. For me. Been an awful good girl. Santa slipped this little beauty under the tree and needless to say I was thrilled! After all they were on my Christmas list. However after all the presents were unwrapped and upon closer inspection I discovered a few flaws. A couple scuffs here a spot of discoloration there. I wanted my new shoes to be perfect. So my mom and I set out on Friday to exchange them. The store we went to didn't have my size so another store was called, my size was put on hold, and I was set to make the exchange on Saturday. Oh, the best part about my visit to Bakers. The sales girl had the audacity to tell me the shoes were supposed to have those flaws. (Seriously???) Fast forward to Saturday. There I was minding my own business, browsing the internet, when I decided to check out the Bakers website. It was then (cue dramatic music please) that a grisly discovery was made. These booties are not made of real leather. They. Are. Faux. Leather.

Ummm. Yuck. No thanks. They have been returned.

So here.... is what I got instead.

Intyce - Steve Madden

I couldn't be more excited! I tried these on at the Steve Madden store a few days before Christmas and I just couldn't justify spending the money at the time but I really, really wanted them. I'm so glad I waited. It worked out so much better than I could have even wished. My mom ordered them for me on Sunday and I paid her the difference. I can't wait to get them! I'm already envisioning all of the outfits I will pair them with! I promise to take some live shots once they arrive. I love Christmas!

Arturo Chiang - Iman

I adore the rich copper hue of these sassy little sandals by Arturo Chiang. I love the cut out design which really lends to the unique shape and the snake embossed leather really ups the ante. I don't have anything like this in my shoe wardrobe. I would love to try these on. They seem to me to be a sort of summery sandal version of the Sam Edelman bootie featured below or do you think I'm just talking crazy?

Christmas Eve

Via Spiga Monique

So I thought to myself that it would be rather festive if I could find a red and green shoe to kick off one of my most favorite of days. Don't get me wrong I enjoy Christmas Day just as much as the next person but I do believe I enjoy Christmas Eve Day more. I love all of the anticipation and the preparations and the general good cheer. However I certainly wasn't expecting to find such a deliriously adorable pair of red and green shoes. These manage to have all of the right elements don't you think. The combination of snake embossed leather and the pretty patent leather floral accent is fierce yet feminine. These are definitely going on my list as a must have for the season. In honor of the holiday I will not be posting tomorrow. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa! See you on Friday.

Matt Bernson - Equus

Matt Bernson - Equus

From the looks of these sweet little sandals it seems that the fringe trend is not going anywhere come Spring. I love the color combination here (according to Piperlime the colors are navy, blueberry, orange and teal) and the layered patent leather fringe detail. Fabulously flirty and feminine these would be adorable paired with dresses and skirts for a more casual look.

Karaoke - Guess Footwear

This week continues with more hot Spring styles brought to you courtesy of Piperlime. This is a great sandal that you are bound to reach for over and over again. The woven detail at the vamp gives it that extra "oomph!" and the tan leather is a spot-on neutral. Speaking of extra "oomph!" the wooden platform and 4 inch heel will give you just the boost you need to flit around town while showing off those gorgeous gams.

Max Studio - Renato

These have such fun elements. Gladiator style in an ultra glam and girly color. Hot pink platform + a cone shaped heel. Speaking of heels, how about adding 4 fabulous inches to your frame? Sigh. I think I will always wear/covet heels. No matter how old and crotchety I may get. Heels make me happy!

Greer - Corso Como

This fabulously strappy hot Spring style is brought to you by Corso Como. Let's inspect this pair a little closer, shall we? Thin, delicate gold straps. Check. Fabulous criss cross styling at the vamp. Check. Mini platform. Check. Stacked wood heel. Check. Hm. These seem to have all of the elements perfect for traipsing stylishly around town. Spectacular!

Bernardo - Must Stone

Bernardo - Must Stone

Mmmm... crystal stones... This is the perfect flat sandal to boost those flirty Spring dresses and sassy shorts into overdrive. Pair these with a plethora of looks for instant chic. I love the pewter color and the medallion of bling, of course. Who doesn't love a good medallion of bling?

Frosty Weather, Hot Shoes!

What better way to keep yourself warm as the temperatures continue to decline than taking a gander at the hot new styles for Spring 2009 brought to you courtesy of Piperlime. Over the next several days I will be sharing a few of my favorites with you and I am so excited! Just looking at them all has me itching for warmer weather. Yay for new shoe styles! Yay!

Theory - Vidar

Yeah. So. I love these! The thick leather straps and the wood stiletto heel. The platform. It all combines to create an utterly gorgeous shoe. These would make a perfect nude for those fair skinned beauties amongst us.

Two of a Kind (well... almost)

I was browsing around on shoes.com the other day and came across these two little beauties. As you may or may not know I had a slight obsession with elastic detailing on shoes this past Spring/Summer 08 and it certainly seems like this trend is continuing into 2009. Both of these styles are extremely similar to one another. After seeing them side by side I'm leaning towards the pair by Carlos Santana. I am beginning to love how designers are borrowing from each other. It is, after all, most advantageous to us consumers. Which pair do you prefer?

This pair by Jessica Simpson is nice. I really like how the zipper detail treads all the way down the stacked heel. But in comparison to the pair by Carlos Santana they look cheaper. Perhaps it's the sheen of the faux patent leather.

These are HOT! There is just something about the weave of the elastic and the stiletto heel that has me all a twitter. They definitely look more high end than the pair by JS. You could pair them with tights and be hot to trot now and then bare all in the Spring.

Flirty and Fabulous Friday

TGIF! What better way to celebrate Friday than with something flirty and fab - u - lous. Check it out!

Emilio Pucci

Chic. Gorgeous. Perfect. Oh this Pucci pump is so amazing. Well it certainly seems the "shootie" isn't going away for the Spring and why should it? I so adore this shape. This pump is instantly recognizable and so spot on. I love the color palette and that fabulous Pucci print. I know the Winter season has yet to officially begin but these certainly have me anxiously awaiting the warm weather. Especially after having to spend 20 minutes scraping the ice off of my car on Wednesday morning. Brrr!

Christmas List

This pair of shoes has made it on to my Christmas Wish List. I know it's hard to believe being that it's a flat and all but this particular pair could be worn in so many different ways with so many different things. I hope Santa grants my wish this year. What about you? What's on your list?

Blue Suede Shoes

When am I not coveting shoes? Although my husband will attest that I have been after finding the perfect pair of blue suede shoes for a while now. Jessica Simpson had a pair in her collection that I tried on and loved many moons ago but I never bought them. But now... now I've found these. Yet another drool worthy shoe brought to you by Dolce Vita.

Please excuse me while I have a completely spoiled child moment here. I want! I want! I want! There isn't a single thing NOT to love about these. The color is simply the perfect shade of blue and the shape. Don't you get me started on the shape. Very similar to the Madison featured on Monday but the striking difference comes in the form of the perfect little detail. The t-strap with the double buckled straps. It's insane how much I desire them. Insane, I say.

Hello Lover....

Deep intake of breath. Heart skipped about 12 beats. I so completely had a Carrie meets her next shoe love moment just now. I have to make this quick as I'm breaking my "No posting during working hours!" rule but I would not be able to concentrate if I didn't share these with you. Let's consider this Lust-Worthy Wednesday, a prelude. Enjoy

Ladies, I bring you... The Louboutin Petal Sandal

Let's all take a moment for a collective sigh, shall we?

My heart beats uncontrollably for these. If anyone out there would like to send me an early Christmas present, I would be most grateful : )

Hot to Trot!

So on Sunday I was doing a little Christmas shopping at Kohls and happened to come across these little beauties. I needed to take a break after walking around the store for an hour. It's amazing how much time I can spend in there. The hubs absolutely refuses to go anywhere near that place with me :) The best way to take "a break" from shopping is to sit down and try on shoes. Am I right? Who's with me?

Candie's Florid Dress Heels

Seriously! How adorable are these? The hot pink color is so, so gorgeous and not at all eye searing. They would add the perfect pop of color during those gray winter days. The upper is satin and then top it off with a sweet rosette and peep toe. Girly and glam. I love them.

Excuses, Excuses...

I am so sorry for being such a crappy blogger. I've been preoccupied. You see... I recently entered The TWILIGHT ZONE. Never fear though my friends. I am happily on book four and I only have about 100 pages left to go. I do apologize for my absence. Now that the holidays are looming life certainly won't be getting any less hectic. I am in the midst of beginning work on a super secret project for my parents that I'm hoping to complete by Christmas and unfortunately I don't think things will be getting better but I promise to try to be better. Starting with today.

I have been recently obsessing over purchasing a 2nd pair of brown pumps and I most certainly think this pretty little pair by Dolce Vita just may do he trick.

At $119.95 they seem like such a steal. The shape is utterly spectacular. I also love the hidden platform and sky high heel (of course). Dolce Vita is definitely a brand that is intriguing me more and more. These shoes are both sexy and sophisticated and are bound to become a wardrobe staple in no time.
