Giuseppe Zanotti Multicolored Pump

The subtle color blocking on this pump by Giuseppe Zanotti has me all a twitter! I love the color combination. The tomato red patent leather and the curved detail of the beige leather with the contrasting black piping at the heel is simply divine. Add to that a classic shape and 4.5 inch heel and I'm done in! Simple. Beautiful. Perfect.

I thought I'd take a break from shoes...

for just a moment. I have lots more favorite shoe finds from Net-A-Porter and eLUXURY but I wanted to take a moment to share this. You see I have recently decided that I want to start buying solid colored leather handbags so that I may add a fresh pop of color to my wardrobe and I am going to start with this one. I just had to share. I am so smitten. I can't wait until it's mine.

*Sigh* Oh the shape, the color, the gorgeous leather, and the price! It's so affordable and so chic. It simply sends my heart aflutter.

Seriously????

Thanks a lot LiLo! Let me first start out by apologizing to all of you who are loving this trend right now but I'm sorry... I just can't get on board. I just can't bring any love for a shoe that I can buy at the barn shaped souvenir shop at the Lake of the Ozarks. Do you know who I blame for this fashion catasrophe? LiLo! She's the culprit walking around Hollywood in all her fringey glory. Thanks to her even Piperlime is jumping on the bandwagon and Rachel Zoe has designated 3 separate styles as her picks for the season. 3! Seriously?!?!?

I took the liberty of borrowing this image from Stiletto Pumped over at shoehunting.com so you too may see Lindsay sporting this "hot trend".

Oh and if you want to get yourself a pair you can get them here.

Knock yourself out.

Dolce & Gabbana Leather Oxford Bootie

Gorgeous! The sumptuous cognac leather & oxford details in THE shape of the season, there isn't much not to love about this bootie. Preppy meets flirty with the lace up details and the contrasting stacked heel. Oh and let's not forget one of my favorite details D&G is including in their shoes this season. I love the leopard print lining. Looking at that little detail while slipping these on would make me feel fierce and feisty!

On a side note - these just got the husband's stamp of approval! Sweet!

Nine West Pre-Order, Shop the Hot Styles Now!

According to Ninewest.com this is your chance to "Get ahead of the fashion curve!" Don't miss out on securing your size AND style today! But if you prefer to wait until they hit the stores, take this opportunity to browse the latest styles and plan your wardrobe updates accordingly.

Here are a few of my faves.

Papoose. I love the faux snake print, the mary jane style, the peep toe, and the bow detail here.

Lovenyc. Now I may catch a lot of crap for this but I am oddly drawn to this peep toe bootie. I don't know if it's the metallic purple or the rouching or even the peep toe. I'm not sure I could rock this look but I know there are some ladies out there who could!

Ginga,Boutique 9. My obsession with gray continues... I may have to add these to the list.

Dasolina. You had me at the lace up front and four inch heel...

Cause we are living in a material world...

Over the next few days I will be featuring a few of my favorite finds from Net-A-Porter and eLUXURY. Enjoy!

Dior Cabaret Platform Pump
Oo La La! I have been eyeballing this Dior pump for a while now. I am really enjoying how designers are playing with heel shapes these days. I love the idea of looking fabulous coming and going, don't you? The mary jane is such a classic shape. This pair is so pretty with all of it's haute little details. The sumptuous suede, the thin leather bands that decorate the heel and vamp, and the cut out detail on the side. I truly love shoes that are both classic and trend worthy at the same time. I would pair these with a pencil skirt and playful top and keep my other accessories to a minimum.

Musings

I hope you'll indulge me for a moment. I started this blog about 1 month ago because I love shoes. I needed an outlet which would allow me to to express myself and that which I love. I am hopeful that this blog has a little something for everyone. I truly long for the day when I am able to spend $500+ on a pair of shoes and not even blink an eye. I'm not selfish or petty but I realize that last statement may make it seem so. There is something to be said for quality, no? I am passionate about a great number of things that can't be attributed to material goods. I am passionate about animals, the future of this country, and the environment to name a few. I am happy with my life and the choices that I've made and I hope that this blog adds a little brightness to your day. So please enjoy and continue reading. I love to feature shoes that inspire my passion and desire. My heart truly aches and I tingle with excitement when I see a pair of shoes I love. I can only hope they inspire a little of the same in you.

Gray skies are gonna clear up!

It has been a gloomy day here in the ol' STL. Yet even before the rain and the clouds appeared I had been staring at my gray Nine West pointed toe sling backs and thinking "It's time for new pair of gray shoes." I also had another thought in the back of my mind that I would like to purchase a pair of gray boots this season. Then something happened. I either (a) am being stalked by the web team and buyers for Endless.com and they are able to read my inner most thoughts and desires or (b) God really wants me to get a new pair of gray shoes(and boots). Now you may be wondering what it is that happened to make me think these crazy thoughts. Well, I got this in my inbox today.

Oh cruel, cruel world! Why must you taunt me so? Why must you tease me, mercilessly?

Why? When you know I am on a major budget right now and the last thing I am able to do is purchase more shoes!!! Grrrr!!!

Ah but no worries, my fine friends. Two new pairs of gray shoes will be mine this season. Hopefully, my shoe buying hiatus will end soon! Think good thoughts, okay?

See below for a few I'm considering.

Oh Deer! Cupcake Peep Toe Mary Jane

The boots pictured below are NOT from Endless.com you will find them at Nordstrom and they are on sale right now. Oh these are so gorgeous I can't stand it!

That's Why I Bluefly...

Seriously who knew Christian Siriano had so many fans! I just got the email from Bluefly that his collection for them is on the site and what do you know??? It's almost sold out! Check it out here and see my favorite piece from the collection below and, of course, the shoes I'd pair with it.

I would pair these cool platform pumps by BCBG Max Azria with a pair of dark navy tights to pull the whole look together.

Mmmm...funky meets feminine. Bare legs, hot boots, and this adorable dress.

The shoe style of the season in the color of the season paired with some black tights or leggings. Love it!

I'd like to thank the Academy...

Oh and I would also like to give a HUGE thank you to Leah at Style for the Stay at Home Mom for tagging me with a Premio Award! It is so nice to be recognized especially when you are being recognized for doing something you truly enjoy. I love shoes and I believe we all deserve to look our best no matter what our budget.

Now it is my turn to tag the following blogs and award them with a 2008 Premio.

1. Matt, Liz, and Madeline - A truly heart wrenching and inspiring blog about one guy's life as a single dad.

Prada Fall 08 - Runway vs. Everyday

The Prada Fall 2008 collections have arrived! Bergdorf Goodman,Saks, and Neimans all have a varying degree of choices for those who are so inclined. I am really digging some of the new styles that came off the runway and also a few pairs that were designed to be a little more "everyday". A couple of my favorites seem almost art deco inspired and one pair is in fact called the "Art Deco" Pump. So please enjoy my picks of the good, the great, and the "What were they thinking?"

The Good

I like these. Some of you may think I'm crazy, but bear with me. The design element is kind of cool and definitely reminiscent of the art deco period. There is visual interest both coming and going. They also have a 1930's/1940's feel to them. However, I am so not loving the ankle strap. Thankfully it is removable so it's really a non-issue.

Hmmm...I'm really torn on this pair. I love the sculpted shape of the heel but I'm not sure how I feel about the slingback that's not really a slingback. This shoe seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis. I'm game with one or the other but both??? I would love to see these on.

I am having a love/hate relationship with this suede sandal. The ruffled "shrug" is a tad off but that's also why I like them. Strange, I know. I don't pretend to understand the inner workings of my mind.

The Great

Mmmmm...Gray Suede Mary Janes... The covered platform, the cone shaped heel - so, so pretty and in the perfect shade of gray.

I know, I know some of you may call me crazy but as far as I'm concerned all you need is your Isaac Mizrahi for Target or Forever 21 LBD and these. Enough said.

This bootie is hot! I love the criss cross detail at the ankle and the cut out detail. A little glam and a little rocker chic.

Mmmm...the color combo is just perfect here. I love the classic shape, I love everything.

Rouching is EVERYWHERE! In my opinion, Prada does it right in this boot. You could seriouly rock these with your favorite pair of skinny jeans.

"What Were They Thinking?"

Um...no, your eyes are not deceiving you. Believe it or not those two pictures belong together. Neiman Marcus seems to be the only department store brave enough to carry them. The two piece lace up bootie. It's a boot. It's a bootie. It's in two pieces. Awesome.

Okay so they aren't horrible. But the detail on the toe, it makes me think of cinnamon sticks and apple pie and coffee. I think I'll pass.
